Services
People come to see therapists for various reasons, but underneath most of them is a profound discomfort with themselves. Some of the most common symptoms of this are depression, anxiety, moodiness, over-sensitivity, irrational anger, and fear. Addiction, phobias and other self-defeating behaviors are ways of coping with both bad feelings and not feeling at all - that empty feeling.
Since 1995 I have been specializing in treating adults, individually and together with their parents, who have traumatic issues stemming from their relationships. My work is most effective with those who have depression, anxiety and emotional and physical trauma. I am an expert certified Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) practitioner.
Using a strengths based approach that assumes that wellness is within each of us and needs guidance to be fully realized, my style is collaborative and client centered. I teach skills and techniques to help improve daily life while also helping you explore and address the root causes of suffering and unhappiness so that healing can take place.
The focus of my practice is on your strengths, which may, due to temporary crisis or difficulty, be hard for you to name and build on. My expertise lies in truly assisting people to change their lives, by helping them discover what they want, what they need, what works, and how to do more of it. What's unique about me is that my commitment to you and this work is from the inside out.
