I didn’t stay it was too dirty. The owner seems to think I got paid to write a bad review but how did I get Photos unless I was in his motel? I have also a photo of the refund slip because when I decided not to stay there the front desk person who was a very nice guy by the name of Randy gave me a refund and apologized and was very embarrassed for the condition of the room. The remote control was so dirty that when I washed it with one of their washcloths it turned black(see the photos) at that point is when I decided to get out of that room. The carpet looks like someone walked in oil and wipe

I made a review earlier and the owner said I must be a fake. He could not find my name on the reservations. I came in and got the room the same day I made a review and after it being such a pathetic and dirty room I got a refund. The morning afterwards I was talking to another person at another hotel at their free breakfast and they also got a refund and left. No one made a fake review. Your hotel room was pathetic and one of the worst I’ve stayed in in 32 years and that includes my trips across seas to Asia. Nobody lied. This room was horrible.

Great help from the front desk, went above and beyond to make our stay positive. The breakfast is really good, lots of options. 9 people in my family and everyone found something to enjoy. It is an older motel but they work hard to keep it clean. Pool is large and hot tub is hot. All in all a great stay.

Traveled with my 2 kids on our way to Colorado. What a great little town to stop in and a great place to stay. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. I’d go out of my way to stop there again if and when I plan on traveling again. Thanks for the clean rooms, great pool and playground for the kids to stay busy.

After driving 2-3 hours from Mt Rushmore with hardly a gas station to stop at, the Covered Wagon was a treat! Our room was nice and cool, we were able to stay with our animals, and we were able to relax in the pool and sauna before bed. Breakfast this morning was absolutely fine! Waffles, toast, bagels, gravy and biscuits, and coffee & juice. There was a dive bar still open nearby last night, and it had THE BEST burger and drinks were super cheap. It was a great way to end a long day.
