Dr. John Lynch and the entire staff in the downtown office (shoutout to Mary and Theresa at the front desk!) are amazing. It's a quiet, clean office. I'm always seen promptly--always within five minutes of my appointment time. Dr. John is thorough, thoughtful, and gentle (especially with a drill!). I can't recommend Lynch Dental enough. Oh, and their COVID safety protocols are stellar. I feel so safe. I never dread going to the dentist anymore!

About a year ago, I was told that I had 5-6 cavities from not flossing when I came here. I thought it was strange because I never had this issue before, went to a different dentist about a year before my visit with no concerns brought up, and started regularly flossing a few months prior to my visit. Before getting them "fixed", I requested the x-rays that were showing the cavities and sent them to a dentist I know who works out of town. Honestly the best dental experience I've ever had (by far). The dental hygienist was extremely knowledgeable and talked the whole time she was cleaning my teeth about the teeth (sounds boring but it wasn't and was quite informative).
The whole group here from the receptionist to the doctors is so kind. Dr. John is my dentist and I highly recommend him. I am extremely anxious when it comes to going to the dentist but he has a very calming effect and is very professional.

Dr. Sheila and her team at Lynch Dental Center are amazing. The office is very clean and nicely decorated, with a very friendly staff.
Dr. Sheila is very thorough and knowledgeable. Having been in for several fillings, each time she gives a straightforward explanation of procedures, showing you with images exactly where and what will be affected. I felt totally comfortable. She was calm and gentle, making sure to address my concerns, and made my fillings go smooth and easy.

Been a long term patient and very satisfied. Found all the dentists to be very competent, communicative, and compassionate. Never felt any pressure to do procedures like I experienced with other dentists. They have been honest about what's urgent and what could wait. Never had any problems with the several crowns and onlays they performed.

They are good at teeth cleaning but highly recommend NOT to go here for any dental work. You do not have the same dentist working on your teeth especially cavities. If you have great insurance they will try to do as much unnecessary dental work. They didn't numb my teeth enough and started drilling. After they overly numbed me, I felt like someone hit me in the jaw for a week. They made all my teeth square not rounded and one of my cavities that did not need work at all to it was leaking!! I went to another dentist for a consultation to get it fixed after seeing the work they did. Also drilled

Dr. Lynch is not only a great dentist but a true gentleman who cares about his patients. I had a complication from a root canal and he got me in his schedule that day no questions asked. In fact he even missed his lunch to help me. The staff is friendly and always calls you by your 1st name. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great dentist and a family atmosphere which is refreshing because it reminds me of my dentist back in California that I saw for 20 years. I can't thank them enough.

I've been going to Lynch for years. I really like their new offices which are 2 blocks from my train and 4 blocks from the office. Every one there is wonderful and goes out of their way to help you. There is never a wait, everything runs on time and its quiet and peaceful in the waiting room. Their billing and accounting folks are great and work with my insurance co so I don't have to.

I've been going to Lynch Dental twice a year for the last 15 years, and every single appointment has been good. The team is always professional and on time, the office and equipment are modern and updated, the billing and insurance process is streamlined and simple, and most importantly, the hygienists and dentists are excellent. I usually see Dr. Fran, who is terrific. I've also seen Dr. John on a couple visits, and he has been great as well.

From the moment you walk into the Lynch offices, you know you are in the hands of consummate professionals. Mary, the receptionist and miracle-working billing entrepreneur who checks you in, always makes sure you get the answers you need to any and all logistical questions about your appointment schedule and account. The hygienists are extremely knowledgeable. In fact, during my most recent visit, not only did the hygienist do a superb job with my cleaning, but she also gave me some excellent tips about home care which I had actually never heard before--and believe me, I've heard many! I usually do not take the time to write reviews, but felt that others should know our experience in case you are questioning. I will start by saying that, overall the staff is friendly- and that is nice. Wait times are less than desirable, but that happens at a doctors office so- its is forgivable. However, in the 4 months that my husband and I went here we had 9 cavities filled between the two of us. NINE! Keep in mind that we religiously go to the dentist every 6 months and have our whole lives. We brush and floss daily and are very dental health conscious. After getting 6 of my cavities filled

I really need more than 5-stars to rate Lynch Dental on N. Michigan Ave. and here's why:
The Office: ALWAYS clean, they don't even have 'dust bunnies' or cobwebs anywhere. The office is always in immaculate condition, neat, clean and smells amazing. Even the bathrooms are impeccably maintained.
The Staff: I've met and/or interacted with everyone on the staff at least once and hands down they are ALL; friendly, knowledgeable, funny and a joy to be around. The entire staff make my visits (for procedures) less stressful. Even when scared crazy about a procedure, the

Cannot say enough about these folks. They are top-notch & uber-professional. I've sent a lot of people there and everyone becomes a long-term patient. The other day I had some work done and they were right on schedule (as always), made me most comfortable, and then called the next day to be sure I was OK. I've been to all of them at one time or… another -- all great. I see Dr. John the most. Besides the fact that he's a great dentist, he's a civic leader. Do you know that he played basketball at Loyola (Division I), and has been a youth basketball coach for 30 years ----- never missed

I have been a patient at the Lynch Dental Center for over 25 years. I primarily see Dr. Fran and Dr. Sheila at both the downtown and River Forest offices. The care that I receive is EXCEPTIONAL!!!
I just had a crown done and was thrilled with the results. The procedure was quick and virtually pain free. Everything that was being done was explained accurately and honestly. I even received a follow up phone call the following day asking how I was feeling.

Primarily ,I've seen Dr. John Lynch, whom I've nicknamed "Angel Hands"
Why? Because you will hardly feel the dreaded needle.

I have been seeing Dr. John Lynch for 25, almost 26 years.
Good crown work and care for dental cleanings. They will focus you on more frequent cleaning visits, if needed, like 4-month or 3-month recalls.
Root canal work is flimsy and may result in abscess down the road. Honestly will want to see an endodontist for any of this, regardless of dentist.
This practice doesn't do x-rays that show the area beneath your tooth. So, they misses any cyst or erosion that can occur.
They missed such an issue with me and performed a root canal on a perfectly healthy molar.
They only admitted their mistake

Lynch Dental is AMAZING!! I have been going to them for years and every expereince with them has always been beyond expectional. The staff is welcoming, warm, and gives you the comfort you need to enjoy your visit while you are there. I never have to worry or be nervous about going to the dentist. They are truthful, honest, and are open to disucssing any of my concerns.

I've been a patient for about 8 years and have never had a bad experience with them. Everyone is ALWAYS so very friendly. Two sisters and a brother make up the team of dentists. They send out a nice holiday letter every year talking about their extended families and the charity work they're involved in.
I also appreciate that they make sure I'm using my insurance money wisely. If I've got some bigger work that needs to be done, they plan it out so I'm not going to have to pay a lot out of pocket.
