Dance Studio Owners, Teachers (with Studio Owners Permission), Coaches, Theaters, Schools & Performing Groups are all eligible to receive confidential wholesale pricing on our entire product line. If you already have an account with Baum's, simply create an online account and provide your customer number when you register.
C.O.D - 50% minimum deposit required to process order. Indicate whether balance of payment will be forwarded prior to shipment or that we are to ship balance C.O.D Any order not paid in full 2 weeks prior to ship date will be shipped C.O.D with additional C.O.D charges imposed by carrier. Driver will only accept money order, or certified check.

BUYER BEWARE: If you cancel an order, check your account for a refund! Our costumes went out of stock before our show. We cancelled our order and it took over a year of going back and forth with phone calls and emails before finally getting a refund. I see I'm not the only one who's had this problem. There are plenty of good, honest costume companies out there. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Baum's Dancewear as one of them.

EDIT: President of company got involved and I did receive my refund. I can't give them a better rating but did want to update to say I got my refund.
Terrible experience. Ordered costumes in November, NEVER received them, cancelled the order and am still waiting for my refund of $1478 (end of January).

UPDATE : Almost two months later (total 7 months after order cancellation), we still have not received our refund. We received one email from the Company President, (after the below review was posted) assuring us he would make things right. However, they have not responded to any of our follow up emails, and no refund has been issued. We consider Baums to have stolen $1,200 from our small non-profit school. Never again.
FAILED TO REFUND OR COMMUNICATE. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Which is an unfortunate thing to have to say in these times. The dance industry should be standing together to help each other

I am very disappointed with this company! I decided to go to their website to see if there was anything about why they have not been returning phone calls or emails. Apparently we are not the only ones they have ghosted. I have never had this happen before! It is just really unsetting that they haven’t contacted anyone or gave refunds. As an owner of a business, one would think they would notify their customers about what is going on and if they were planning on eventually shipping out costumes or giving a refund. COVID or not, it is unprofessional!

I placed an order last January. When their supplier could not fill my order in time for our performances, I asked for a refund. I called and spoke with a lady once who told me she would check into it. I never got a response. Since that time, I have continued to call and leave messages which are never returned. I have also sent emails. Again, no response. As a teacher, I frequently purchase items out of pocket, but this is the first time I have ever been ignored when an item could not be delivered. I truly dislike to write negative reviews but our experience with ordering costumes with Baums was not a good one. A "quick ship" order was placed the first week of April over the phone with Julia and then followed up with Cindy who oversees the costume order process for the entire store. It was requested to have our costumes by April 27th for our photo day. Cindy informed us that she could not guarantee the costumes would arrive by April 27th but no later than the first week of May. With this is mind, we were ok with this time frame due to truly needing the costumes for our dance production on

I have never written a negative review before, but this company deserves it. I placed my costume order in Nov. 2018. Checked on my order at the beginning of March 2019 wondering why I hadn't received it yet. I was told that I wouldn't get it in time for competition season, so I proceeded to cancel my order and was promised a full refund. fast forward past busy comp season and recital. In June 2019 I called to ask why I had not yet received a refund and was given an excuse and a promise that they will get it straightened out. I was shocked to see there are good reviews. Then again, all good scams will write good reviews.
I ordered $400 worth of equipment for my special needs non-profit from Baum's Dancewear 6 months ago, and never received anything. Since then, I have several times reached out to Cindy, from Braun's Dancewear, who has promised to refund me 4 times; each time assuring me it'll be "three to five days", but I have yet to see anything 6 months into this. Looking back at emails and such... I'm not convinced this isn't entirely a front for a scam.

So many different kinds of whatever we need for Ballet dance is available here. I have been taking my daughter here for her ballet costumes since this store was just open on E. Passyunk Ave. Not only that Baum has complete ballet apparel, but the price is also very reasonable.

Went to store to get leotard and tights for daughters first dance class. Jasmine was very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Was able to get items quickly. Jasmine helped by giving info on fabrics, sizes, and styles. She offered to order any other items we needed. Out in 20 minutes. Kudos!!
