SewRob (Wayne) is part of the Eagle Village Shops, "an open-air lifestyle shopping center located in a tiny western suburb of Philadelphia." Our warranty policy remains in place; SewRob warranties work up to 21 days from completion/timely pick up date. Only appointments made between office hours will be accepted by our online scheduling system.

Rob worked on my wedding dress and did a fantastic job with the details, despite it being a difficult layered gown. I was happy to go to someone that I could really trust with my dress, he always made the experience a great one. He also was able to get it done quickly for our wedding that was coming up soon. I had a terrible experience. I brought a very special gown (a black tie wedding in Kevin Costner's aspen ranch home kind of special!) to be altered and I was appalled by the service and disappointed in the quality of the work. I brought my dress in with over a month before the event and they weren't ready when they said they'd be and the repair in the boning of the corset top didn't hold and halfway through the wedding the boning popped out and was painfully jabbing under my arm for the rest of the night.

I've had 3 separate orders handled here, one for fixing the binding on a large mink blanket, another for a wedding tuxedo, and one for hemming a pair of pants. Each order was completed successfully and in a reasonable amount of time! The staff is friendly and their customer service is amazing!
With their help, I now have a good as new blanket, a fitted tux, and a fitted pair of pants!

I had a very odd request of a sling that needed to be altered and Rob was excited about the job and said it shouldn't be a problem. It had to be able to hold weight as I was concerned it may rip but nope! Rob did a wonderful job and made it like new! Highly recommend to anyone who needs work done!

I am only rating this place based on customer service and not the quality of the work done here since I did not opt to receive services from this establishment. The man is a genius. Worth. Every. Penny. I think he can see how a dress should look the first time he sees it on you. He recently altered my daughter's wedding gown at the Strafford location. He started with the neckline, shoulders and bodice. Next visit he worked on the hem. Next visit he scaled down the amount of the train circumference so it was proportional to my daughter's height. I was skeptical at first, but the more I saw how careful he was, and how he explained each step of the way, the more I realized that the man is a genius at fitting a dress to a woman's body. We loved

Rob literally saved my wedding dress. I had to take it to him after my tailor (recommenced by the bridal shop) botched it so badly. He was patient, upfront, kind, and also hilarious to boot. He not only had to undo her work, but also had several visits with me to make my dress absolutely perfect. Of all the vendors I met with during wedding planning, Rob was by far my favorite, and my saving grace. I would recommended him 1000% over for any event, small or big. It look five visits, but by the end, the dress looked like it was custom made for me (this included removing yards and yards of multiple tulle layers, turning a hair piece into a belt, tightening the bodice and creating the perfect bustle). Rob may not be the cheapest tailor in the area, but he is by far the most knowledgeable and delivers consistent quality. I will be coming back for any and all alterations I need.

During my first bridal consultation, I had originally met with Melanie, and thought that she was very rude. I almost walked away from the shop completely, but after a phone call with Rob, I could tell that he was passionate about his job and ready to help me. Through the alterations process, he went above and beyond to make recommendations for my bridal gown and it ended up looking absolutely stunning on me! I also had a second dress that fit me perfectly when their team was done. I will say that we ended up having to make some changes that were unexpected to the bridal gown so the final invoice

Singlehandedly saved my wedding dress, two days before the wedding. Arrived from out of town with my dress in hand. Brought it to Rob to hand press. Terrible customer service and support. It would seem that a business is in business to be a service and of service to their clients and customers. Paid over 2300 in services only to be yelled at by Rob for calling one time to ask a question. Regardless of the job they did which was decent, I would never go back because of poor customer service and bad business practices.

I had to call around to a few places before actually getting what I needed done. I had a zipper break on my lovesac cover which is an oversize beanbag. It took around three weeks because the zipper had to be special ordered. Rush orders start at $25 extra.

Rob and Melanie are a dream team and always do a wonderful job with my family's alterations and "from-scratch" pieces. My mother will come to them with a photo or idea and they make it come alive for her. They always tell you the truth and aren't afraid to tell you when something needs an alteration, which they then perform with perfection.

Highest quality in alterations you will find in the area! I had a very structured dress to wear in a wedding and Rob knew just the right things that needed to be done and finished everything in a timely manner. FLAWLESS WEDDING DRESS ALTERATIONS!! Rob and Jasmine are top notch seamstresses! They really listen and let me know exactly what was realistic. They were always one step ahead of me in addressing my concerns. Molly has an eye for design and knows her stuff when it comes to any alteration questions.

I'm not going to mince words on this one. Avoid Sewrob at all costs!!! If this means wearing an ill shaped bag which could be mistaken for a dress if it wasn't ten sizes too big than do it. Sewrob is awful. The stiching on my alterations was poorly executed with the fabric puckering in places its not supposed to pucker. Oh and lets not dwell too long on the cost. It cost more money to alter the clothing I brought than the original price of the clothing. We're talking upwards of $50 per piece. Just awful. Don't go here!!!

I was in a pinch because the dress I ordered to wear to a friend's wedding didn't show up on time and I had to rush out to try to find something cute to wear. And to be honest, I wanted to impress because it was going to be full of hotsy totsy New Yorkers and old friends so this wasn't a 'Target' worthy event.
