I have been a customer of Mathews since the early '90s, having bought several bikes; and having sought service many time (3 times this past summer).
I've also used / tried others during that time frame. But, by far, Mathews is / has consistently been the best - bar none ! From Nancy, to Steve & Scott et al - their long history of sustained excellence, honesty & professionalism is without parallel ! ...They're the best !

Paid $400 for a Haro for my son, took the bike back for the maintenance tune. Shortly after we purchased the bike the material came loose from the side of the seat, when we asked about it they said that the bike has been laid on its side, my son keeps that bike in his room, takes great care of it, he had one wreck and it scrapped the hand grip and pedal, no marks or any sign of damage anywhere on the seat, today my son was at the bike/skate park in Franklin, he popped his tire tube, he walked it to Grey Goat bikes downtown, they replaced his tube, no big deal except the guy told him his tire was

New to this area, having just moved here from Dayton, Ohio so looked up bike shops, and liked reviews and the history of Matthews Bicycles from my on-line research. Took my Trek into their shop for some general maintenance and tune-up. Scott and John were great in welcoming me to the area, completing the work needed on the bike within the specified timeline, and gave me great ideas for cycling trips in this area. Thanks guys! I'll be a regular customer for all my bike needs.

I've been buying bikes from Matthews since I was a child and we bought from the old German man on 38th and Sherman. Then I bought from his son and Matthews continues to be my go to bike store. I've bought multiple bikes for myself, wife and kids I only wish they had a buy 10 and get 1 free program. The people are very knowledgeable, honest and friendly and with the exception of pandemic times they usually have a zillion bikes for sale.

I had been searching for a specific bike, and right now that's tough. I drove far to get one and it ended up being the wrong one. I found Matthews online and it said they had what I wanted, so I called and talked to Scott. I wasn't hopeful but turns out they did have it! And Scott was soo awesome. Super nice and helpful, and I hurried over to buy. He had it waiting for me and made everything so quick and easy. Even snagged me a bell I wanted :). Couldn't be happier and glad to have found a shop I could also take my new bike to for service. Scott is the best and I would recommend

I've been going to Matthews since the 80's when I first bought my Diamondback Hotstreak BMX bike. I've purchased several bikes and had service done many times. I took my 90's Gary Fischer in and wanted it converted to single speed. I spoke with a member of the service team and we talked about gearing, chain rings, and everything it would need. Not being sure what parts are available they told me they would let me know and gave me an estimate for $95. Cool sound really reasonable, told them I'm in no hurry. Fast forward 3 weeks later, I see a missed call from Matthews, call back the very next day

Went in at 4:50 on a Friday to hopefully get a replacement cable because I was sure that they couldn’t replace it that day. I was scheduled to go on a group ride the next day and was desperate! They were so helpful, stopped and replaced my cables and basically tuned it up right then. They’re awesome!!!

A big thank-you to Brad and all the Matthews team for their knowledgeable, attentive and kind service in selecting a bike for my 9-year-old granddaughter's birthday. It was a big step up from her previous bike, and Brad was a total pro in making the selection and helping her get going on it. If only customer service like this were the norm everywhere.

Great experience with Matthews' service team. Quick diagnosis, accurate estimate, turned around the repair in half the time projected, called immediately to let me know it was finished. Friendly and good rapport with customers from all staff engaged with is evidence that the staff enjoys what they are doing for their customers. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending Matthews!

Great place! My son's bike got stolen, and I'm glad we came here to get him a new bike! Great staff and atmosphere! I would much rather give an existing actual Bike Shop the business than a big chain store, and we got a better bike and at a super fair price. We got him the all Black Haro Leucadia Deluxe! I went there to buy a new Bmx and it was mint, exact same price as Haro themselves and its already built ready to ride! The customer service was amazing as well, got me exactly what I wanted and was very friendly. The building itself is very nice and professional with a wide variety and they have some extra parts to choose from if you ever want to modify your bike in the future. Good shopping experience. They have a wide selection and didn't try to show us bikes out of our price range. Prices in store matched everything we found online, which is great considering bikes purchased online would need to be assembled unlike the ones ready to ride in-store.
They gave the bikes a quick tuneup before we left the store and also installed kickstands for us. Plus we go back in a month or so for a free tuneup again in case there is any cable flex. Shout out to the salesperson Scott who was very knowledgeable and helpful.

About two months ago, my husband and I decided to pick out new bikes as another way to get outside and be active during the pandemic. We stopped in to Matthews Bicycles and our experience could not have been better.
We were helped by Mark. Since we had never purchased bikes before, we were completely lost. He explained the basics of how bikes work (much more complicated that I thought), asked questions about where/how we would ride, and helped get us the right size bike (which I didn't know was a thing). My experience with this shop was fantastic. I went in there Saturday, April 25, 2020 to look at a bicycle that would be a fit for my older body. Nancy told me there was a bike upstairs with my name on it. I went upstairs to look, found the bike she was talking about, test road it, and bought it. Every employee in that shop was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend going to Matthews if you are looking to buy a bicycle.

Definitely one of the coolest bike shops in Indy. The staff is amazing! First time I visit, I was greeted by Scott who helped me try other a couple bikes. After visiting other bike stores in the area, I decided to go back here to make a purchase! There have many options at reasonable prices. When I returned, the staff that day were super helpful and awesome! They are all informative! I highly recommend visiting them when you are looking for a bike! Also what bike shop, mails you a hand written thank you note!.
