My mom needed to open a bank account that was tailored to the old school type of individuals. Some friends told me about SunWest as a good bank to consider. My mom was a late boomer that never got acquainted with technology and doesn’t understand how to use online. She still depends on using paper statements as well as writing actual checks. We were able to meet a good representative at the Cactus site (Pauline) who gathered the paperwork, details needed to open the account, gave detailed information on the bank fees, and how to get the account started. Been with this credit union for years on the first of this month i got paid and really needed my check cashed. The lady who helped me literally called and played like there was a problem with cashing my check which all she had to say was she did not want to cash it. So i went literally not even two blocks away to chase walked and showed two proof of identification. They cashed it with no problem. After all the years being associated with this credit union it make you want to go somewhere else for business.

I am a new member since June and I like their staff and they do make banking easy I just wish they were more up with the times as far as bill payments go for my car loan. I have to go to the bank once a month to make my car payment because they have no way to pay online or with Zelle so that is my only frustration.

Having been with SunWest for 20 years now, it is clear that they have really declined. At one point their service was excellent, but now they have really gone downhill. If you call with a question, expect to be on hold for 20 minutes before speaking with someone, and then don't count on a helpful answer. As for the website: wow, what a waste. You can find electronic coloring books for kids, and "cute" little sayings everywhere, but good luck finding helpful information on card fraud, or rates, or anything that you might actually want from a banking institution.

After years of doing business with them I have closed out my account. I went there on 1/29/20 through the drive through like I do all the time for months. Cash deposits my money for $473. Well I only use this account to transfer my money to capital one for there multiple checking and savings they offer. 3 checking with 10 saving because I can manage my money better and see all accounts at one time. Well the teller counted wrong and I figured I must have counted wrong also but I'm thinking the teller counted it after I gave it to her and banks dont mess up counting money right. Well it was $423

Manny B. is so helpful every time I visit this branch. Not only did he help set up a new secured card for me but told me the benefits the bank gives me. The whole team is nice, respectful, informative and complete tasks in a timely matter. You don't have to wait days for a new debit card or even pay a fee like some other big named banks.

The staff at both locations I go to are great! The loan rates are usually pretty low from past experiences so that's great but every time I turn around I am getting a new card due to "security breach" and have to re-enroll many auto pay bills. Also if I pay a couple large bills or make large purchases they automatically lock down my account, that's a little ridiculous and embarrassing when your card gets declined when you have funds in your bank.

The customer service at this credit union and branch is amazing. We went to this credit union for a car loan. The process was quick, easy and painless. Long story short , Larry H Miller Toyota screwed us and we had to return the brand new vehicle and get our check back, have a new check written for a different car dealer. Our representatives at SunWest took care of everything for us with no hassles! I would definitely recommend banking here ! I would also recommend never using

Sunwest is the old school bank you want to do business with. They go above and beyond for their members. I do business with them every single day and know whenever I bring them a new customer that they are in good hands. I can seriously say that I have never gotten a complaint from any member and that is huge. Shout out to Jen and Gabe over there they are the best. If you are looking for the local credit union you need to take the time to stop in and become a member.

I came in as soon as the doors opened at the McDowell and 3ard St location. I was greeted by the tellers, but as my transaction began it took a turn for the worst. My teller Mario was rude and didnt know his job. I had been through the same issue before and the teller handled it perfect. I was laughed at by Mario and the teller next to him when I explained my issue of needing to add money to my account before the transaction finished processing. I asked could he call the accounting department and have the funds released before it bounced. He had the nerves to laugh along with the teller next to

I have always been treated well here. Any time I have had a problem it has been resolved in a manner that was satisfactory to the customer. I've been a member with SFCU since 2011.SFCU has been there every step of the way through my financial journey. I started with opening a checking and savings account, then eventually opened a credit line. I plan to take on various other fiscal endeavors, with the help and support of the team at SFCU. I honestly love Sunwest Federal Credit Union. I've been with them since my granmda set my account up for me when I was very little. Ive never set up an account with another bank my entire life and I dont plan on it. I have always had nothing but amazing experience with Sunwest. The employees are nothing but friendly and caring. Sunwest has never given me a reason to leave or think about wanting to leave them. I am honestly happy with my experience with them. Sunwest is nothing but AMAZING!!!

So far so great- just obtained a car loan and the value and services offered were great. We brought 3 checking accounts here from a bank and so far so good. The staff is friendly and the location is good for us. Loving the flexibility with some of the arms in the network. Overall I'd recommend this credit union.
