Albers Medical Pharmacy was founded in 1976 as a full-service retail pharmacy to serve the needs of the growing Country Club Plaza area, as well as patients from the various medical specialists that had practices on the floors above the pharmacy.
A year later, in 1977, as part of our commitment to community and education, Albers Medical Pharmacy was asked to participate as a rotation practice site for pharmacy students from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy.Albers Medical Pharmacy has continuously been on the cutting edge of the pharmaceutical profession.

Influenza, better known as the flu, is a respiratory infection that affects approximately 25% of the U.S. population each year. Albers Medical Pharmacy has been compounding customized, unique prescriptions since it was founded in the 1970s. Our pharmacy purchases our compounding products and materials from certified and licensed companies that sell natural and synthetic bulk chemicals that are used specifically for prescription compounding.
Albers Medical Pharmacy is located on the first floor of the Broadway Medical Building one block west of Saint Luke's Hospital near the Country Club Plaza. Our address is 4400 Broadway Suite 106. Albers Medical Pharmacy offers a limited delivery area that provides convenience to many patients living and working near the Country Club Plaza Area.

I use this pharmacy only because my doctor refuses to use a different pharmacy for my prescription. However, my monthly experiences with Albers over the past couple of years was excellent - until the last 3 months - in spite of their inconvenient location and limited hours. Once I was unable to obtain my medication for several days because someone failed to order it from the drug company in a timely manner. In 2 additional instances I was treated so rudely by the person who answered the phone, if I had a choice I wouldn't do business with this pharmacy again. But apparently, because the pharmacy

Not having used them before, and due to the newness of the medication being prescribed, I called Alber's to inquire about my prescription status. Not only was the girl that I talked to very helpful and pleasant, they already had my prescription filled, AND they are one of the few pharmacies in the area that carry my medication regularly.
The establishment itself is very clean and organized, parking was easy, and the entire staff seemed very cheerful when I walked in. I had some questions about what side effects I might expect as well as how a particular drug manufacturer's coupon worked and all

Read knowledgeable staff and they all use name brand medicine not generic. That in itself makes it a great pharmacy. The location is great for it is across the street from the Major hospital in Westport. The weight is never long and the pharmacist is very knowledgeable and willing to help if needed in anyway
