At HPL Stampings, we have the unique capability to efficiently and cost effectively produce close tolerance stamped parts in low to moderate production quantities. We custom manufactured the dental instrument tray cover shown here for a client in need of 100 units. A client in the engine market approached us at HPL Stamping to fabricate a strong, yet lightweight component mounting bracket for a small gasoline engine.
The challenge of this project was to produce 1,000 units while maintaining critical hole-to-hole dimensional tolerance along multiple surfaces. At HPL Stamping, we fabricated the custom stamped and welded actuator pictured here for a valve mounting application, and it demonstrated our ingenuity for creating a unique assembly from flat stock.

In 1941, HPL Stampings was founded on the principle that delivering custom metal stampings required a better solution and understanding of the customers' needs. Our answer was our "Specialization and Standardization Process." This process is comprised of a unique method where low-cost tooling inserts are used in conjunction with universal holders and fixtures, thereby taking the place of conventional die sets.
At HPL, 83 punch presses ranging from 18 tons to 215 tons and CNC equipment are used in conjunction with special universal units, holders and fixtures to manufacture custom metal stampings. Parts of any shape can be blanked, pierced, formed, stenciled, drawn and extruded using HPL's special stamping methods.
Through the use of short-run stampings & a few critical key steps, you can successfully move your part from drawing to delivery in just 3-4 weeks. A one-stop-shop metal stamper means significant cost savings, shorter lead times & peace of mind. Learn more in our latest eBook. Selecting the right metal stamping company to work with is a tough decision.
We can handle all metals and some plastics in thicknesses ranging from 0.001" through 0.375", depending on the material type. Over the past 75 years, we have worked with just about every kind of "cold punchable" material. HPL's blank size capacity is 36" x 36". However, we often perform secondary stamping operations on larger customer furnished parts.
Find a metal stamping company who is a good fit for your product and eager to become a strategic partner in your success. HPL Stampings' precision, short-run stamping process utilizes a unique tooling method where hardened tooling components are used in conjunction with standard holders and fixtures, thereby taking the place of conventional die sets.
