Opioid addiction is a condition suffered by approximately 2.1 million people in the US every year. Opioids include street drugs such as heroin or opium as well as common prescription medications like morphine and oxycodone. Recovery can be particularly difficult for those who suffer a dependency on these powerful drugs, because of the intense physical and mental withdrawal symptoms that occur within hours of discontinued use.
Many people experience occasional anxiety during moments of high stress such as getting fired from a job, or when going through major life changes like divorce, marriage, pregnancy or relocating their home. These events can bring a level of instability that make people worry about potentially negative outcomes.
Addiction comes in many forms, including drug abuse, alcoholism, sexual activities and gambling. People develop dependencies for a variety of reasons, and fully recovering from addictive behaviors requires the proper amount of support. Ignoring an addiction can have extreme consequences and lead to life altering issues including job loss, incarceration and severely damaged personal relationships.

He looks at a person holistically considering trauma and the different elements that can affect someone’s
