Services
Dr. Jonathan Lazar established Lazar Spinal Care in 2008. He wanted to do things differently. He wanted to attract people who were sick and tired of being sick and tired into a place that was different. He believes it is your God-given right to get better (if you have a problem), stay well, and feel alive.
I lost my brother to a pain medication interaction in 2007. There's nothing worse than losing a loved one needlessly. It's one thing for people to suffer because there are no options available to them. It's another thing for them to suffer because they don't know this solution exists. We're excited to help you and your family take your next step towards better health.
I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic (Now Logan University) in Chesterfield, Missouri in 1990. In addition, I received my Masters in Human Nutrition degree from Bridgeport University. I specialize in Chiropractic and advanced Nutrition Response Testing (NRT).
Before I was a chiropractor, I was a software engineer, but I had been interested in how the human body works, for example, how food is digested and nourished, why a lack of sleep increases mistakes, and how exercise can improve bone density. I moved to the United States due to my husband's job and resigned from my job.
Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem.

Avoid at all costs! Coming here I felt like I was a walking dollar sign to them, more than as an actual person/patient. The contract was confusing with lots of hidden costs. I showed it to my significant other, and he agreed it was confusing and not upfront with all the additional costs of additional X-rays they want you to do that are not including in their monthly price. Not to even mention that they said it was a "free consult" and once you get in there they "highly recommend" an x-ray. Every chiropractor I have gone to (3 total ones throughout my life) has always recommended

It is very easy to give a 5-star review when you receive the type of care provided by the entire staff at Lazar Spinal Care. Dr. Lazar has built a practice that mirrors the type of person he is; caring, conscientious, and extremely well educated. I am actually somewhat shocked by some of the reviews. My neighbor was glowing and I was curious, 2 weeks later when I seen her and she looked even better I asked her what was going o. She told me about Dr. Lazar. I received a free consultation went for the testing and went back a few days later for the results. I have had 3 back surgeries and was starting to get severe headaches / migraines as well as constantly in pain. When Dr. Lazar seen me and I seen my x-rays I knew he was right. He pegged my 30 yr. ago issue and I decided to start seeing him. I actually drive 3 times a week for 45 min.

It's been 18 months since I started seeing Dr. Lazar for migraines and I couldn't be happier. I'm so grateful to have my life back. It's been over 4 months since I had to take a prescription pill for a migraine. Thank you for all you do!

Very professional and helpful crew. Always feel like a friend visiting their office instead of a patient. Also, my spinal health gets improved a lot after working with them for 4 month.

Excellent attention and personal care. Every time I am in there I over hear other patients talk about how much better they feel IMEDIATELY. The environment in tranquil and the team is there to support and take care of everyone, young and old. Check them out. Your life will improve as a result of it!

I don't normally post reviews unless my experience was absolutely amazing or absolutely terrible, but after seeing the reviews here I felt compelled to leave my own.

I've had two visits so far to Dr. Lazar. I have no idea what these other reviewers are talking about; I was treated by everyone there with courtesy and respect, and no one there seemed anywhere close to anger. I generally don't prefer to be constantly attended to, so it stood out to me how often I was asked if I needed anything or someone could get me anything. Maybe these other reviewers truly did have the experience

Don't do it! My experience matched these other reviews. High charges, strange anger management issues by the doc, questionable procedures by him and his staff. How does this guy stay in business? Great difficulty in getting money back for unused portions. Basically told I had to wait in line to get a refund. Finally disputed it through my credit card. Wish I had researched this better. Bad news!

I had a great experience visiting Dr. Lazar. The facility is clean and updated, the staff is very helpful and prompt, and the care very thorough. Dr. Lazar explained my condition in detail and mapped out a plan to get me back to health. Yes, the upfront cost seemed high, but when you look at the breakdown, it is certainly reasonable and you get what you pay for! Moreover, the office manager, Kim, explained different options to pay including a no-interest option from Care Credit. On a side note, my initial consultation fee was waived for donating to Lazar Spinal Care's charity cause, Mott

If you have a SERIOUS health problem that no one has been able to help you with INCLUDING problems you don't think are related to your spine such as depression and much more, you might finally get relief here. For SERIOUS health problems it would be worth the high cost and numerous visits, if it works for you. The only reason I even considered Lazar Spinal Care for BACK PAIN is that I wholeheartedly believe in the healing power of Cervical spine treatment...

The cervical spine is the uppermost part of the spine (at the neck) and yes it's true the cervical spine can be a "door

Totally agree with the others. A money-making scheme, not a health-promoting practice. Their "treatment" is a gentle rub on the sides of the upper neck, with the intended purpose of fixing all the body's ills by "adjusting" the top two cervical vertebrae, 3x per week for 5 months, at a cost of about $1200 per month.

Yikes! And their practice is booming!

I had a similar experience as the other person on costs and being mislead.

I am in the Ann Arbor area for 6 months and just wanted to continue with my monthly adjustments that I get in my home town. They did inform me of the x-ray costs but said that insurance typically covers most of it. So, I went ahead with the x-rays and the consult. I came back the next day so I could get my adjustment and they would go over my x-rays. They told me pretty much what I already knew and said that they suggested this 5 month program (coincidentally I'm in town for 6 months) and that it would cost

I went there recently for an initial free consultation. At the beginning of the "consultation" I was seated in a room to watch a 20-something minute video. The video was about chiropractic for someone unfamiliar. A good way to go about this is to first ask the patient "are you familiar with chiropractic?" and then offer the video if the patient is interested. Offer. Not require while the doctor is meeting with someone else. Please just keep me in the waiting room instead. Well, after the video, I met the doctor and just didn't get a good vibe. I didn't feel pressured

When scheduling my 'initial consultation' visit, i specifically asked if there were any upfront fees? I was told by their receptionist on the phone "no, the consultation is completely free at our clinic... that's one thing people really like about us". Well, after filling out all their paperwork, questionaires and even having my picture taken at their front desk "for the file", i was eventually measured and made to sit down in a back room and watch their 20 minute 'informational' video to sell me on their procedures. The 'doctor' finally

Two HUGE red flags:

1) "Any Chiropractor that is trying to sell you (and that is all they are doing is selling you) on some sort of "3 times per week for years" type plan should be a huge red flag."

2) "If you meet with a Chiropractor who tries to scare you into care, get a second opinion. Some chiropractors find no ethical dilemma in overselling minor problems found on x-rays and exams and blowing them way out of proportion."

Don't be swayed by the smell of cookies baking (for real). The office staff is very nice, however it was very apparent that Lazar
