Services
Lyon Counseling Center (LCC) offers treatment for mental health by highly trained and credentialed therapists. Lyon Counseling Center is knowledgeable, empathetic, and caring. LCC wants to be your resource for therapy, mental health treatment, academic and school issues, and family issues. LCC has the ability to meet you where you are, and can develop a plan to help get you where you want to go.
We are currently searching for fully or limited licensed candidates in the areas of Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology and Professional Counseling. Our practice takes great pride in offering an extraordinary experience for our clients and providers alike.

Jeff is an amazing therapist and I opened up to him on the first visit. I was hesitant trying out a new therapist since I've had several in the past, but my doctor told me that a lot of his patients thank him for recommending Jeff. They've never personally met and he just went by word of mouth, but I'm so glad he referred me to Lyon Counseling. I told Jeff more the first day than I did after months with other therapists. He makes it a safe space and doesn't pressure you to do or discuss anything. Plus he brings his dog, Athena, and that's always a win in my book!

Would highly recommend. There was a bit of a waitlist, but it really was worth the wait. Everyone I have interacted with at the clinic has been professional and so welcoming. I have a family member that referred me here and she sees a different therapist. Both of us have been impressed at the caliber of clinicians here. They provide a safe, non-judge mental space. South Lyon is lucky to have this clinic.

I started seeing Melissa about one year ago. She was referred to me by a good friend. I had seen other therapists in the past and Melissa stood out from our very first visit! She puts me so at ease I feel like I’m talking to a friend I’ve known for years! Melissa has gotten me through some very difficult moments in my life and she continues to be an amazing support in my grief journey. I am so very thankful for her.

I have been seeing Melissa for about 6 year. I've followed her from 3 different locations. She is hands down the best therapist I have ever had. She's very easy to talk to and amazing at her work. I would definitely recommend Lyon Counseling, especially to the people who have had a hard time finding a therapist to connect with.

I’ve been seeing Melissa since August of 2020. Since my first appointment I have felt completely comfortable, never judged. She is caring, compassionate, great sense of humor and truly genuine in her profession. Each time I leave her office , no matter what we’ve shared, I find myself smiling more and feel a great load lifted from my shoulders. I have recommended Melissa and her facility to several people. Lyon Counseling Center has brought me a lot of comfort during tough and emotional times. The therapists there are warm, comforting, and meet you where you are at. I feel seen, comforted, understood, validated and less alone. I would highly recommend taking the leap and scheduling with their team, I am very grateful that I did!
