Richard Born is a licensed psychologist in Georgia who has been in private practice since 1988. He completed a BA in Psychology at the University of Toledo in 1973, an MA in Psychology at West Georgia College in 1979, and a Ph. D in Counseling Psychology at the University of Georgia in 1987. He also holds Fellow Certification in Biofeedback from the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance.

Biofeedback A general goal of biofeedback is to help individuals develop control over physiological processes to help their health, reduce unnecessary stress, and improve the quality of their life. In biofeeedback, we use highly sensitive electronic instruments to monitor, and feedback this physiological information to the patient.
Dr. Born has over 32 years experience with pain patients. He provides evaluation and treatment services to pain patients and frequently works in conjunction with local medical pain specialists. He provides pre-surgical evaluations as requested for spinal cord stimulator or intrathecal pump implantation.
These are all terms that refer to services that a psychologist offers to help patients. The use of these different terms can sometimes be confusing for the general public. Although there may be some subtle differences in the use of these terms, for the most part these terms are used interchangeably.
