Trotta Foods, founded in 1955 in the Bronx, is family owned and operated. Trotta's commitment to quality and value is seen in everything they do and in every homemade dish of pasta they make. Today, the storefront in Thornwood boasts premium cold cuts, fresh-baked bread, a selection of cheeses, and imported products as well as their own homemade items.
Trotta's doesn't stop there though. They have tons of space on-site to house products for the restaurants they deliver to and all the equipment they need to make the foods we love. Trotta's makes wholesale deliveries to restaurants in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, and the Bronx with their refrigerated trucks.

Services
Hi, I'm Eddy Trotta, the owner of Trotta Foods and son of the amazing founders, Orlando "Al" and Anna Trotta. In 1955, my dad started peddling my mom's delicious homemade pasta from their kitchen to the neighborhood Italian restaurants in the Bronx. Over time, we moved from the family kitchen to a store front in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx, and then to New Rochelle.
For your convenience, party rentals, such as chafing setups and coffee urns, as well as a service staff of waiters, waitresses, and bartenders, are available. Garden fresh zucchini stuffed with ricotta, onions, and roasted peppers topped with melted mozzarella. A delicious baguette sliced, toasted, and topped with chopped tomatoes, olives, garlic, basil, onion, salt & pepper, then drizzled with olive oil.

If you want high quality pastas, cheeses, cookies, and prepared foods, this is the place. The BEST eggplant parmigiana, they make it perfectly and exactly how we like it. A wonderful mom and pop small store. They make all kinds of fresh pastas and traditional homemade food with the real ingredients we grew up with. This place is a gem. I feel like there are less and less Authentic Italian-American products as I get older, and I am happy I found this place, the products are wonderful. Come here, it's the real deal.

Trotta's is the one reason why I can't give up carbs. Miss out on those noodles, unique pastas, and that amazing ravioli (original, spinach, wild mushroom, lobster, broccoli rabe - pillows of yum!)? No way! They also have prepared dinners, sauces, breads, Italian sodas and treats and the makings of a stellar antipasto spread too. A wonderful stop for all your needs for that Italian feast. Stepping into the place is like a warm, cozy hug from your Nonni. XO

Great home made Italian food. Take home frozen, stick in oven or skillet add starch and voila! Dinner is served. Highly recommended the chicken entrees and stuffed pasta (ravioli, etc). Great fresh bread and pasta available. Been eating here for decades. "Trotta's for dinner" is a happy sentence I our house.

Trotta's, what a magical place. Mt. Pleasant is literally bursting at the seams with Delis (8 I can think of in Hawthorne/Thornwood alone), but Trotta's is different. Trotta's is really a Pasta house and heaven for Italian specialties.
The raviolis are fresh & delicious. I've also tried the pasta fagioli soup which was decent. But the #1 best thing to get here...are the SANDWICHES! You will not find a better deal in Mt. Pleasant. $5 + tax for a bangin prosciutto & fresh mozz on a wedge. Wanna throw some fried eggplant or chicken cutlet into the mix? Go ahead! In the

In a neighborhood with several deli's, Trotta has held its own for years. The pasta is excellent. The rice ball are awesome. The problem with this place is the nasty old lady who's been waiting on customers for years. She has zero personality and acts as if you are doing her a favor shopping here. The owner, a gentleman, is very nice, but complaints about the Senorina Grumpy get ignored. It's not his mother or mother-in-law., I refused to believe this nice guy has such a girlfriend. She's enough to keep many Mt. Pleasant people away from this store. With so many places jn the

I have gone to this place for years. When you do not have the time to make your pasta from scratch this is the next best thing. Highly recommend the raviolis. I am also partial to their vodka sauce. A neighbor son always raved about my cooking I admitted it was just where I bought them pre made. When she was going through treatment I went and picked up what she needed there put it in a pan and told her to bake it. Her son said, " maybe chemo is making you a better cook this is deliciousness" There is no other pasta shop like it in Westchester.

Bought several things at the Larchmont farmer's market this weekend and they were excellent! The mozzarella roll with eggplkant, roasted peppers and basil was
outstnding and a perfect hors d'oeuvre. The fresh porcini mushroom fettucini and he broccoli rabe and sun dried tomato ravioli were also excellent.
