Gordon Martial Arts
It's easy to put up a pretty website with canned images from professional models. Every person you see on this site was training at Gordon Martial Arts. The videos you see on this site is shot on-site and the interviews were not rehearsed. In fact, the parents interviewed did not know they were being interviewed that day!

What you're getting is off the cuff feelings from the students and/or parents so take the time to visit the testimonials page. In reality, it's probably the most important single page on this site. One of the main objectives of Gordon Martial Arts is to help make the Crestview area a better place to live.
Services
Gordon Martial Arts (GMA) was established in 2003 by Thomas Gordon and Gregory Bledsoe who are now both master level instructors. Before GMA was in existence, the two ran a school for about five years in another community. They opened away from their home town of Crestview due to politics and ultimately, closed that school due to politics in the martial arts coming back to their home town.
Whether you're talking about dance, gymnastics, chorus, martial arts, or any other host of similar services, the instructor is very likely THE most important person(s) to the student. We've all taken boring courses that were only made more boring by the monotone instructor and then the hard contrast when being under an instructor that makes us look forward to coming to the next class.
Ms Amanda Howard moved to Crestview in the early 90's and started martial arts at 8 years old. For the first 10 years, she did martial arts as a family event with her mother, brother, and sister. In 2006, while in Korea, Ms Howard competed at the World Championship tournament and successfully tested for third degree in front of Grand Master Rudy Timmerman and a panel of master level instructors.
Mr Luke West is a Fort Walton Beach native who has lived in many places until retiring in Crestview. His first introduction to martial arts was in elementary school when his family moved to New Orleans. In 1985, his family moved back to Fort Walton Beach and he studied at Song Tae Kwon Do until it closed in 1993.
Mrs. Young came to Gordon Martial Arts in 2012 and their Student Manager and then an instructor. Mary Young has been working in the fitness field since 2002. Having weighed twice the amount she currently does, from poor eating habits and lack of exercise, she decided enough was enough and started her journey to become a healthy person.

I love the atmosphere and the professionalism of the staff. Knowledgeable instructors who will focus on your child’s struggles despite the group setting. However, the group setting runs sooooo smoothly and the kids get along so well!!

Such a great school! The instructors really care and take a lot of time with the students. Can’t say enough about how much my son enjoys and appreciates Master Bledsoe and Ms. Amanda! He’s learned so much, and what they teach at GMA only enforces and assists our character training at home. So, so grateful for that.

My family absolutely loves GMA! My daughter has been going here for around 5/6 years and my son for 2 years. They treat you like family because it is a family. One of the best decision I've made for my kids. I can go on for days about how amazing they are! Worth it to come check it out!!

Nothing but praise for Gordon Martial Arts! My kids and I have been students here for nearly two years and have experienced the highest levels of professionalism and friendliness from the staff. Both the juniors and adults programs are fantastic. The instructors are truly there to help their students learn and progress; there is no attitude or ego involved. The instructors are not dogmatic; while ITF Taekwondo is the core of the material, other programs are available and there is also heavy emphasis on practical self defense. The other students and families are friendly and welcoming; it is truly

My first class not only amazed me, but it also re-affirmed to me that I picked the right Martial Arts instruction. The chance to mix with others in learning basic techniques allowed me to get the feedback I needed. If you want to learn self-defense, or just learn a martial art, I highly recommend you choose this place.

As a middle age adult, I never did martial arts until I joined Gordon Martial Arts. They made me feel so welcomed. SUPER clean martial art school with some amazing instructors. Everyone is so friendly and makes me feel like I'm one of the family.
I haven't done the tournament yet but GMA hosts 2 or 3 tournaments a year plus the MEGA seminar every April and bring some awesome guest instructors into the school!
Now I'm hooked on martial arts and want to thank them for giving me a great way to release some tension, get some self defense skills, and have fun! As soon as my children are old enough
