Do you have a child that is stuck and looking for guidance from someone that they can identify with? Research indicates that the strongest predictor of success in psychotherapy is a good fit between client and therapist. My ability to relate to a diverse group of individuals parallels my treatment approach, which is always exploratory in nature.

I do not have a preordained model that fits each person I see. Instead, each story becomes my guide in properly identifying and addressing the origin and function of the problem. With EMDR, symptom relief and personal change can take place much more rapidly and deeply than through conventional talk therapy.
Services
I work with a broad range of clients and utilize EMDR as the foundation in my approach. My expertise includes addressing heavy trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, sports trauma, sport psychology consulting with athletes, peak performance coaching, as well as group therapy with adolescents and teens.
The vision for Body Mind Integration is to always maintain a holistic approach in healing and training the mind. Some methods or modalities may work better for some than others based on one's personality, willingness to change, circumstances of the situation, along with other factors. It is vital for the clinician to be trained in various modalities, so a treatment plan can be customized to the individual.
Reviews can be anonymous and confidential and either a written review or star rating can be given. I worked closely with Mr. Long at my high school where he was a psychotherapist serving students with a wide range of needs. He was extremely professional and his collaborative approach during his time with us made him a great asset to our team and our students.
Emotionally distressing events can sometimes be stored maladaptively in the memory of our nervous system so as to produce disturbing symptoms long after they would have ordinarily healed.

EMDR addresses negative thoughts, beliefs, painful emotions and body sensations attached to these events, so that a healthy and natural resoultion occurs that frees the individual from being triggered to the memories of the past and associated or similar life experiences.EMDR has been well-researched and has been approved by the American Psychological Association as an effective treatment for PTSD.
Big T Trauma's: Abandonment, verbal/physical abuse, neglect, witnessing a natural disaster, divorce, rape/sexual assault, death of a loved one, wartime experience, robbery, or a major surgery. Small T Trauma's: adoption, reassignment of work, relationship difficulties, a recent move, challenging times over the holidays etc. and things more of that nature.
