Mequon Jewish Preschool
At Mequon Jewish Preschool, we partner with children and families towards a holistic educational life approach; dedicating ourselves to the well-being of each child and family, with a special focus on igniting the spark of Jewish interest and excitement.

We follow the Rebbe's vision of education being about building a character with emphasis on moral and ethical values, and the Reggio Emilia approach, the leading best practice around the world since 1963.Our curriculum uses a seamless and joyful approach; Jewish identity, traditions and Mitzvot, knowledge about Israel, integrate with academic skills and thematic deeper knowledge.
Services
At our core identity, we have Judaism based on the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson's vision of education being about building a character, with emphasis on moral and ethical values. Integrated with that is our inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, which is known as the leading best practice around the world since 1963.
At Mequon Jewish Preschool we believe in "Pedagogy of Relationships". It is a concept that was established by Loris Malaguzzi from Reggio Emilia, Italy. Pedagogy of relationships believes that the relations created among teachers, children and parents will determine the quality of the educational processes of the school.
Our facility fosters our preschoolers' natural thirst for knowledge and fascination with exploring and understanding the world. Our natural materials and environment allow our children to explore their surroundings and learn about the world around them. In the Reggio Approach, the organization of the physical environment is a crucial aspect, and is often referred to as the child's "third teacher".
David and I just read the beautiful birthday book that was so lovingly prepared. We speak so often about how blessed we feel to have become a part of the MJP community and this book is a perfect example as to why we feel this way. The thought that you and the morahs devote to each child and to the school as a whole is truly breathtaking.
The following forms must be on file for every student before their first day of attendance. INTAKE FOR CHILD UNDER 2 YEARS (students less than 2 years old - this must be signed and updated with the teacher with any change in routine). MJP is more than a school. It’s family. Not only do we feel beyond comfortable leaving our children in their care knowing that they are safe, but we also know that they are truly loved! The care is absolutely unparalleled and we are so unbelievably grateful to have such an amazing environment to have our boys learning and growing in.

The school puts an emphasis on kids first. They design education programs even for babies. The gymnastics program has helped my daughter develop her physical skills despite developing slowly in this area. The director translates her attitude, ideas, and energy to all the staff. The staff are always ready to answer questions and keep thorough records of what the children do throughout the day. Everybody is welcoming and professional all the time. People are positive and optimistic even when problems come up.

Mequon Jewish Preschool is so much more than just a great school. Mequon Jewish Preschool is a life changing experience. I have 2 alumni of the school and even so I am still blown away on a daily basis at what my toddler knows, what he is able to accomplish, and the ways he is able to advocate for himself. I know whole heartedly that the tools that he is acquiring there are life long assets, and while I have learned (from them) how to reinforce those tools at home it would not be possible for me to instill them in him on my own without the school leading the way.

We have been sending our children to MJP for summer camp for several years. It is absolutely incredible how much the kids grow from their time at this school. The staff makes calculated decisions on how to bring out the potential of each student and to give each student the self-confidence to succeed. The reason we utilize the summer program is simply because we don't live in the area during the school year, but we have noticed that our children enter the school year in our hometown with a greatly enhanced skill set which maximizes their learning ability and social interactions. Thank you MJP for

MJP provides a rich Jewish education that involves the children as researchers and learners.
You can really see that the staff truly cares about each child!

MJP has provided my children and family with a preschool experience that has far exceeded my expectations. The way staff empowers the children and works with their individual needs and personalities is amazing. I myself continue to learn valuable parenting skills from the staff and weekly parent meetings. My children are so happy at MJP, the only struggle is getting them to leave at pick-up!

5 stars!! My family loves Mequon Jewish Preschool. It is truly unique and outstanding. We have one child that currently attends, and another that has already graduated. I have been impressed by the quality of the program and staff. During the "Dad's Day", where fathers visited the classroom, I noticed how my 3-year-old daughter independently went to the kitchen to get the challah dough so that everyone in her class could make a Shabbat challah. This is just one example (of many) of how the children are empowered and taught to help out and take responsibility. Another reason I like the school is

My girls have had two amazing summers at Mequon Jewish preschool. From the moment they walked in they were warmly welcomed by the amazing staff. Every minute at school was a positive learning experience, whether it was building a birdhouse or building relationships and friendships. I wish I lived here year-round so they could attend all year long.

This school is unique in its ability to empower our children! Our children are so capable and MJP allows them opportunities to show this in ways they cannot get anywhere else. The Jewish foundation cannot be beat. Most wonderful about this school is the community support. The school staff and parents come together regularly. Not only are the children thriving, but our family feels so supported by this school.
