NKD was born out of my passion for the beauty industry, and a need for this unique salon in the city. Most salons primarily focused on hair services, with waxing, lashes, make-up, and skincare as an afterthought somewhere in a backroom. I wanted to combine my passion for those services with a fun environment that my clients loved being at and felt comfortable in.
While attending college, I was introduced to Mary Kay (my neighbor had the pink cadillac!) and I fell in love with make-up, skin care and helping women look their best. As time went on, I knew that I wanted to be more hands on within the field so I enrolled at the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics of Woburn, graduating with my esthetics license in 2004.
NKD.it actually stands for "naked", because waxing is our specialty. At NKD we use Nufree and traditional hard wax, depending on the service. Nufree, the "gold standard" in hair removal, is technically not a wax, but its similar and applied the same. This natural, self-preserving antibacterial, antimicrobial, water-free botanical formula contains no wax, sugar or honey and was developed for sensitive skin, reducing irritation.

I’ve been getting facials at NKD for about two years now and they’re always amazing (shoutout to the clean and cozy treatment rooms) but last week I booked my first jet peel and damn it’s good. Crystal walked me through each step of the process so I knew what to expect and my skin has seriously never felt so clean. Two days later and my skin is still fresh and glowing 🌟 Do yourself a favor and book one asap.

Simply terrible. My ENTIRE top lip has a huge cut on it because the person that waxed was reckless and rushed through it. I understand that that this is a business and you need to get people in and out as quickly as possible but come on. If you need to rush and leave hair (which happens all the time) fine, but don't do it so badly that people suffer actual cuts. That's not ok. I won't be back.

I am not what I would consider to be a ‘beauty buff’, but was frustrated with looking like I had no brows or lashes without makeup on. Especially in the summer! Many months ago I went in to get my brows tinted and absolutely fell in love! I have been getting my brows and lashes tinted and lifted by Crystal ever since and I am obsessed. The look is perfect, the price is completely reasonable and most importantly the sevice is amazing. Crystal is the absolute best and I highly recommend!

I have been going to Ariana for almost 2 years now. She does such an amazing job with my eyelash lifts. They typically last 8-12 weeks, and she's very articulate and pays attention to details, specifically my stubborn corner lashes. I got a lash lift once on Newbury Street in Boston, and it was a terrible experience and my lashes looked awful. The salon itself is very clean, and everyone I have spoken to who works there has always been so helpful and nice.

This is w wonderful logically owned business. They provide skincare, waxing, makeup, massage, and hair services. I get my hair cut by Nicoleta and she does an excellent job. As a guy, I am not intimidated by this place at, it's completely comfortable. Easy parking, close to the highway, what more can I say!
