Services
Our LITTLES Program introduces children to the gentle art of Jiu Jitsu. Students learn the basic positions and techniques of Jiu Jitsu including guard, mount, and the hip escape. Students are encouraged to make friends, have fun through Jiu Jitsu influenced games, and grow their passion for the art and sport of Jiu Jitsu.
Our YOUTH Program introduces students to all of the fundamental positions in Jiu Jitsu - Stand-up, Guard, Side Control, Mount Control, and Back Control. An emphasis is put on how to piece together several concepts of Jiu Jitsu in order to advance a position. As students progress through the curriculum, more advanced techniques like specialized guards and more dynamic guard passes are introduced.
Our Adult + Teen Jiu Jitsu Program is the perfect way to get introduced to Jiu Jitsu basics. This program will teach the basics of Jiu Jitsu and self-defense and is open to everyone: from the parent who has never practiced martial arts but always wanted to learn to the experienced adult who has trained in the striking and grappling arts.

DOJO is focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle through the teaching of Jiu Jitsu to Children and Adults in Seal Beach, California and surrounding communities. DOJO does not emphasize the sport or competition aspects of Jiu Jitsu and martial arts. Instead, we seek a return to the traditional values of Jiu Jitsu and martial arts.

At Dojo, the owners and instructors treat everyone like family. They always make sure to take good care of you on and off of the mats. They've cultivated an environment where everyone is respectful, so you can be comfortable even when you're at your most vulnerable. Not to mention, the place is spotless! One of the best Martial Arts studio that I ever been! My girlfriend invited me to join her to be her dummy at first then I ended joining myself too. I'm so glad I did! This studio is very welcoming to people that are starting to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I am very impressed in their ambiance and especially the instructors that ran this place. Joined here back in 2019. One of the best decisions I've ever made and I'm beating myself up for not joining earlier!
Everyone here is very accommodating, whether its ownership, the teachers, or the students themselves the vibe is family oriented but not cliquey, some other gyms I've seen especially like in boxing get cliquey and people keep to their groups but here it feels like everyone is part of the collective group as a whole whether its their first day or their 2nd year there.

I have been training at DOJO for almost a year now and my experience now is just as good, if not better, than the first day I walked through the doors. The facility is spotless and when you walk in you can't help but be happy that you are there to train. The professors genuinely care about each and every one of there students BJJ journeys and it really shows. I honestly can't say enough about the instruction we recieve and how the professors interact and connect with each of their students from the youth all the way to the adults. I've been training at Dojo for a year and a half and I couldn't be more happy that I stepped into this school. Overall just a completely wonderful experience. The owners, professors and staff are just beyond amazing. I'm disappointed that our family was not able to spend more time at the Dojo. We will for sure be back to make this Dojo a family commitment when we are able to!

Our daughter and son started attending class and immediately loved it. The instructors are all very knowledgeable, incredible achievements of their own, and patient with the kids. They keep them engaged with varying ages and levels. Everyone on staff are dedicated to their craft and committed to the family environment they promote. We started looking into jiu jitsu for our daughter and immediately fell in love with the community and vibe at dojo. The professors really care about their students, and both the parents and kids can tell from the start. They allow for some goofiness at beginning and end of class but class time is focused and they constantly improve. For a new comer to the sport/lifestyle, Dojo was the perfect way to gain knowledge and develops some techniques. The Professors at Dojo are skilled and comfortable with teaching anyone of any skill level; or even age. I have seen 6 year olds and 60 year olds; of course, the young ones are in a youth program.
It is a great gym! Everyone is so easy to interact with, and friendly. Even though it’s a physical contact sport, everyone there is so helpful, mature and interested in helping you grow your knowledge that you always feel like you are safe and in good hands.

I've trained Brazilian jiujitsu in at least 3 different schools in the past 3-4 years. Dojo definitely stands out in their ways of tradition, comradery, positivity, and attentive instruction.

If you're thinking about trying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but are afraid of it being a toxic environment or anything of that nature then you have nothing to worry about here. Everyone From the receptionist, The Professors and the students are the nicest people you'll ever meet. It's like a second family and Dojo cultivates an Aura of a giant family. There hasn't been one single time I haven't felt welcomed or wanted, every one there wants to see you happy and succeed. Dojo provides a great family atmosphere along with great training for jiujitsu. The coaches teach solid fundamentals. Their adult classes are very enjoyable. Whether you're a white belt or a black belt, dojo has a lot to offer to your jiujitsu journey. The kids classes are great as well. Their coaches are very knowledgeable. The facility- From the time you walk in, you know that they care. It is so extremely clean! I've been to other dojos and have never seen one so pristine. Also, it smells nice. If you've ever been to anyplace with workouts happening, you know this is pretty impressive. They also wash the kids uniforms so they not only stay nice, it's something you don't have to worry about.

This place is amazing! The facility, the instructors, the sense of community- all of it! My two boys took to jujutsu like a fish to water thanks to the engaging and fun lessons. Their self confidence is up, they have made new friends and have learned a discipline that will be of use for the rest of their lives. Could not be happier.
