When contacting your insurance, ask if Medical Nutrition Therapy (initial visit code 97802, one time, and follow up visit code 97803, all other visits) is covered, how many visits you are allowed, and if it falls under your deductible.
Wondering how you and your co-workers can stay motivated to eat healthy at work? Ask Lise to come speak! Lise is available for presentations at your worksite. She has done many fun, informative seminars, "Lunch and Learns", and presentations on a variety of topics (see below). Saw her a while back and she really made me feel shame for my food choices. This was at a time in my life when I had just lost a loved one. My diet had aberrations, but nothing outrageous. I was eating more sweets typical in my culture. She said the foods I was eating to cope were "gross". There must have been dozens of better ways to support and show compassion for a patient, but she elected to shame me. What a rotten approach.

I was so excited for this appointment. I thought I would be educated on some things I didn't already know. I looked forward to reviewing recipes, bad eating habits and finding great alternatives. Instead I got a basic review of what to do better like add variety and count calories! I asked several times for something more tailored. I told Ms. Gloede my concerns before and after the appointment and she had no response but wanted to know how I wanted to pay. She not once addressed my main concern without me asking specific questions in order to stay on track. Not worth $150! Google it or find

I went to this nutritionist last year and it was honestly a very traumatic experience. I am overweight and was looking for help with nutrition/weight loss to help with trying to get pregnant. Everything she spoke to me about in that hour was stuff I could have found online, but without the judgment. Just the way she looked at me and her tone...it was humiliating. It was like she was disgusted with me. I was there to try and make myself better. I wish she had appreciated that effort I was trying to put in to turn my life around, rather than judge me for not being perfect. Also, her staff didn&apos

Lise was fantastic to work with. After having some heart issues that were related in part to poor diet habits, I saw her after a recommendation from a friend. I've never been a big fan of paying much attention to my diet (I don't know many men in their thirties that are), but she made it easy and explained the science behind some of the recommendations she made. With her help and support as well as some hard work on my part, I've cut my cholesterol numbers in half in nine months and lost 35 pounds! She does an excellent job showing you exactly how much a serving size is with models

When I first came to Lise, I had lost about 15 lbs. Progress had stalled. She gave me very specific advice for snacking and how to incorporate new foods into my habits. I saw Lise about monthly for a few months, just to ensure that I was on the right track. We'd discuss the new habits, how things were going, and she'd send me off with a new challenge to conquer. After a few months, I had the pattern down -- how much I should be taking in, what sort of snacks to reach for, etc. I've lost a total of 45 lbs and am nearly at my goal.
