The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children see an orthodontic specialist no later than age 7. As a community service, Sherman and Balhoff Orthodontics provides free initial exams. No referral is necessary. As a parent, there is no greater gift than seeing your child's bright smile.
It is actually more common for teens to wear braces than not-it is estimated that over 80% of all teenagers will get braces or Invisalign at some point during their high school years to address some orthodontic issue. Treatment with braces typically takes around two years, but this really depends on what the diagnosis is and how quickly the patient's teeth move.

It was great 👍. When we came there we were welcomed by the front desk. My name is Victoria. I’m 14 going 15 soon. And because I’m a teenager they have a way to do your teeth . On the first visit I was nervous 😬 but I eventually got over it. If you are nervous they will tell you ( on your first visit ) what to expect and they will show you how to brush. OH and I can’t forget the dentists are VERY nice 👍. When you leave from your first visit they will give you a t-shirt and you pick the color you want. On the second visit they put the braces on. So far so good! A week in and I'm in love my son's teeth have already started to correct the issues. I'm not a patient, but my kids are and the way Dr Kramer and staff has been is AMAZING! They are so welcoming and attentive and explains everything perfectly. I'm definitely looking forward to the road ahead!

If there was a such thing as perfect, the staff at Sherman & Balhoffs is second to none. This has been the most professional, accepting, compromising, and compassionate group of individuals in any service that I have ever received. Even if you don't need braces, I recommend getting them just to see how business should be conducted!! Happy Smiles await!!!
