Services
Founded in 1975 by Richard Forster and later joined by his brother David Forster, Rainier Welding began as a fabricator of fireplace inserts and freestanding stoves under the name "Rainier Iron Works".

In 1980, the company moved to its current location in Redmond, Washington and began to performing projects as a general contractor, fabricating steel structures in its shop and installing them in the field for various government entities, including The University of Washington, The Cities of Seattle and Tacoma and The US Army Corps of Engineers.
At Rainier, we maintain a singular focus on providing high-quality steel and aluminum fabrication services to our customers in the marine, bridge, infrastructure and commercial markets. We support the growing Northwest market and understand the harsh conditions in which our customers perform.

It is not enough to simply produce fabricated steel when rain, snow and ice are in the mix; the steel must be on time, fabricated to tolerance and with an experienced eye for ease of installation.Rainier delivers on this commitment. Over time, Rainier has built industry-specific fabrication expertise in a number of unique markets.
At Rainier Welding, we know that the backbone of our company is our people. We are a family oriented company that takes pride in our long history, our superior work and most importantly, our exceptional people. We aim to provide all of our employees the opportunity for long-term growth as well as the ability to make an impact.

Victor helped me with a tiny welding job for my towing setup, and was a huge help. Fast and friendly service and great quality at a reasonable price.

[Writing from my wife's account because I am a computer incompetent]: These guys are fantastic. I had a small but time-sensitive job. They took it at once, were friendly, did it same-day, and the work was well done. Price was more than reasonable, much less than I'd expected it would be. Would use them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend. Did not observe any of the problems the more-negative reviewers posted at this welding shop. Seemed professional, friendly, and safe. Seth Leopold

Poor service; they have Welders that aren’t so great and are very grumpy every single day as well as the supervisors. I suggest working somewhere else, I’ve worked with bigger and safer companies. The workers drive forklifts like Daytona’s and most workers aren’t careful because they’re hard headed. I understand getting the Job done is important but doing it correctly. There was another worker that was very late twice and still kept his job after I’ve seen him almost crush himself with a couple of beams before; Very unsafe and unskilled workers! Their Value is worse above all...
