We are a truly independent firm based in Palo Alto, California helping families and individuals manage their investments and make good decisions about how to make, save and spend money. Today's families enjoy more opportunities but face more complex decision-making. Responsibility for financial security during working years and beyond has shifted to the individual.

We have more choices for employment, investing and family life but somehow less time to do it in.
Services
Alexis and Palmer Financial Advisors LLC is a California Registered Investment Advisor based in Palo Alto, California offering comprehensive financial planning advice and investment management on a fee-only basis. The firm was founded in 2004 by Elizabeth Alexis and Jessica Palmer, two experienced financial market professionals, with the goal of providing high quality institutional-grade advice to individuals and families.
We do all work on a fee-only basis. This means we accept no commissions, no referral fees or other compensation that we feel might compromise our objectivity. For some clients, we work on a project basis to answer a specific question like "How much house can we afford?" or "How should I invest my 401(k)?".
Financial planning is a step-by-step approach to meet one's life goals. According to companies like SoFi, a financial plan acts as a guide as you go through life's journey. Essentially, it helps you be in control of your income, expenses and investments such that you can manage your money and achieve your goals.
Many of our clients now have an option to choose a high-deductible health insurance plan paired with an HSA. To participate or not to participate? HSAs have some critical differences from the flex spending accounts (FSAs) that have been around for awhile. 2 The money in an HSA can be invested. It can be invested in a savings account, Vanguard mutual funds or even a TD Ameritrade brokerage account via HSA Bank.
For about two years, we told clients that we were concerned about the financial markets. There were a number of "imbalances" in the system. We didn't know when or how these would start to correct but we were confident that they would eventually have to work themselves out. We told everyone to expect bumps and not get too excited by stellar investment returns.
