Joseph Machuzak graduated Cum Laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed his role as punter for the college's football team, the Colonels.
He then continued with his medical education with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After working in osteopathic medicine for several years, Dr. Machuzak attended Midwestern University as a Dermatology resident, becoming an attending dermatologist in 2009.

I've been to a number of Dermatologists over the years and Dr. Machuzak is by far the best I have been too. He is extremely thorough and excellent at his diagnoses.
Most importantly he has been great for my wife. She had cancer 5 years ago with chemo and radiation and it damaged and scarred her heart. She recently went through hell constantly itching for 2 months. Dr. Machuzak was responsible for diagnosing a rare type of autoimmune disease and helping her.
Besides that he has a wonder sense of humor and his assistant Lindsey is very good, personal, and caring.

I made an appointment to have a routine skin check, after reading positive reviews about this doctor. After waiting 40 minutes beyond my appointment time, for which I arrived early to complete the required paperwork, I noticed another patient asking how much more time she would need to wait. Her appointment was for ten minutes before mine and there was another patient scheduled before her. I have been a patient with Dr Joe for nearly 4 years. He is skilled and knowledgeable in his profession plus he goes above and beyond caring for his patients. His staff is courteous, helpful, and understanding of patient needs. As a nurse, I recognize the value of finding a "good" doctor and he is wonderful! Amazing staff, great communication.
Dr. Machuzak has a heart for his patient's and it shows .... Sometimes there is a wait put I know its because he wants to give each patient the best care.
You never know what a pt will need as they come in which I know can cause delays sometimes. Definitely worth it to see this doctor.

If there was an option to leave less stars I would. I will never use the dermatologist again and let me tell you why. To start with they never answer their phone there's nothing on the recording saying that they're not in office on certain days, they just simply don't answer or call back. I went in hopeful as I've been struggling with psoriasis for many years but as soon as I arrive to the office that quickly started to dwindle. The office is a nightmare you can hear everything going on in the entire building including what's happening in the private rooms. I waited over an hour past my appointment

I can't say enough good things about JM Dermatology. The doctor and staff are personable, knowledgeable and do a great job. Additionally, the doctor has a sense of humor which is rare these days. He did a great job on the spots that I had to have cut and/or scraped. I have no hesitation recommending him to anyone who needs a great dermatologist.

This Dr and his team are great.
I was suffering with a serious skin irritation with both my feet that had been going on for a couple of months.
I had made an appointment with MacKenzie Dermatology but they had a 3 month waiting list.
As I was really in trouble with my feet I tried to pull my appointment forward but did not get any sympathy from MacKenzie's receptionist.
I then found JM Dermatology on Yelp who had positive reviews.
I made a call to JM, spoke to Kelsey who said Dr was very busy but let me see what I can do.
She managed to fit me in the next day.

This place is really nice and awesome the doctor is really good he cares about his patients I leave this place better than Arizona dermatologist I went to Arizona dermatologist they didn't really do anything for me I mean the staff were there was nice but I come to a j m dermatologist and he's done more for me than the other doctor had
