Services
We focus our strategy on the issues that are important to you, with an eye toward resolving those issues through settlement where possible. Rather than a "fight and win at all costs" approach (which can increase the cost of litigation), our approach is to "strategize and resolve" as many issues as possible outside of court in order to reduce the high cost of litigation.
Divorce (also called "dissolution of marriage") is a difficult process. There are various complex factors to consider, including: child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support and the division of marital assets and debts. California is a "no-fault" divorce state, which means neither spouse needs to prove the other spouse is the reason for the divorce.
Property is generally referred to as anything that can be purchased or sold (house, car, furniture, etc.) or anything that has value (bank accounts, retirement plans, stocks, life insurance with cash value, a business, etc.). In California, a property is characterized as a community or separate property.
Child support is the amount of money a court orders a parent to pay each month to help pay for a child's living expenses (such as food, clothing, medical care and educational costs). California law requires both parents to be equally responsible for providing for their child's financial needs-regardless of whether the parents are married or unmarried.
We are sensitive to the fact that legal fees can add up quickly and are not entirely within your control given that you can regulate your own choices and conduct-but not decisions made by your spouse, former spouse or the other parent. We can personalize our services based on your needs. We can prepare legal documents on either an hourly or flat fee basis.

Ashley and June were tremendous! They are very personable, caring and worked hard to find the right resolution to a very complex set of challenges inherent in divorce proceedings. When times seemed rough, they remained steady and objective in an otherwise very emotional process. In the end they led the way to an amicable resolution, which was fair and both sides were mutually satisfied, which is key to leading a normal life in the eventual calm after the storm.
