Kenneth G. Marks Law Firm
Fact: The vast majority of Social Security and Disability claims are denied the first time around. The social security and disability system is laden with bureaucracy and red tape that triggers automatic denials of claims. Even if you are actually entitled to compensation you may be denied based on a technicality or inadvertent "wrong" answer.

We strongly advise that you seek the advice of an experienced social security and disability law professional should you encounter any denial of your compensation. They are private, and held in a small conference rooms, they generally last an hour or so. You will be asked about your training, daily activities, symptoms, education, limitations, and work experience.
Services
Kenneth G. Marks was admitted to the California Bar in 1981 and has extended his practice into the area of Social Security Disability Law after working closely with a former Social Security Administrative Law Judge for his entire career. Personal injury law is another major area of practice and Mr. Marks brings his unique litigation skills to the Social Security Disability arena.
Social Security Disability Insurance is the most important type of Social Security disability benefit. It is paid to those who have worked in recent years (five out of the last ten years in most cases) who are now disabled. Supplemental Security Income benefits, however, are paid to those who qualify finacially and who are disabled.
SSI benefits provide income to a disabled person who meets the financial requirements of the Social Security System. There are very restrictive limitations on what assets you can have and what income you can make and receive these benefits. The benefits are designed for people who have no other income or support.
If you have worked and paid enough Social Security taxes and you are disabled, you may be entitled to SSDI benefits and a social security disability lawyer can help you through the process. The amount of these benefits will generally depend on what you have paid into the system through Social Security withholding taxes.
Whether it is a Title II SSDI claim or a Title XVI SSI claim, the first appeal available to a Social Security disability claimant who has been denied for benefits is the "reconsideration." In a reconsideration review, which is called a "paper review."

In other words, the only different between the review of the application in this process is that disability claims examiner at the DDS (Disability Determination Services) reviews your application and medical records with the help of a medical consultant.

Mr. Marks is an exceptional attorney and straight shooter providing you with realistic expectations of your case and guiding you every step of the way. His assistant Dee is fantastic as well in helping with the process. I greatly appreciate their genuine caring, honesty, and professionalism as they treated me like family. I cannot express how grateful I am to them for helping me get the disability benefits I desperately need since I'm no longer able to provide for myself after several injuries from a car wreck. .

If you are looking for a results oriented attorney to help you with your disability case, look no further. Mr. Marks represented me in two separate disability cases, SSI and SSDI. He helped me win appeals and ultimately I received a fully favorable decision on a 16-year-old disability case.
Without his professional guidance I would not have been successful. As good as Mr. Mark’s is, he couldn’t do it without his assistant Dee. She is great to work with and is always available to assist with any questions you may have.
That being said, I highly recommend Mr. Marks and his staff. Thank you

Mr. Kenneth Marks is not only a true professional, but he genuinely cares about your well being. My family and I came to him during a very stressful moment in our lives and he helped us tremendously and put our minds at ease. He is VERY easy to reach and is very good at answering your email in a timely manner (either the same day or the day after). He knows the system well and key people he needs to talk to about your case. His staff is also very helpful in obtaining medical records and are very kind. Mr. Marks is very honest and I appreciate that quality in him. He was able to represent me in
