Services
Dr. Marc DeBerardinis was born on the East Coast, and has been living and practicing in Northern California for over 14 years. He and his wife, Leah, a dentist and Sonoma county native, enjoy the area for all it has to offer. Dr. "D" and his wife have two young daughters, and feel fortunate to be raising them in such a magnificent place.
Juliann takes great care in educating our new patients regarding their treatment plans, insurance and payment options. She brings over 20 years of orthodontic experience to our office and enjoys working with all our referring dental offices. She is driven to see that we connect with our small communities near and far to assist adults and children with their orthodontic needs.
Orthodontists have 2-3 years of additional training beyond their dental degree. Patients who have problems with their bite or have dental/facial irregularities should be cared for by an Orthodontist. Dr. DeBerardinis has attained the highest level of certification within the specialty of orthodontics, board certification through the American Board of Orthodontics.
During your initial consultation, we may advise you to receive orthodontic braces to treat misalignment of the teeth. Depending on the severity of your misalignment, we may recommend one of several types of braces. This may include metal braces, clear braces, or Invisalign. This decision is based on factors such as, teeth gaps, quality of bite (such as overbite or underbite), and crooked teeth.
After you receive your orthodontic treatment, you will need customized orthodontics - known as 'retainers'. They hold your teeth into place after we remove your braces. This ensures that the positive benefits of the braces continues to last for the years to come.
There are several different types of retainers, depending on the severity of teeth misalignment prior to receiving braces, and the duration that you would need to wear these retainers depends on how well your teeth have recovered.It's important to wear your retainers often - every night at first. Even though your braces have been removed, your teeth are still gradually moving and shifting.

I decided to get braces at the age of 48. My bite was misaligned and several of my teeth were crooked and becoming more so, and it had all started to cause other issues. I was hesitant at first because of my age, but Dr. D and his team (especially Kathy, Monica, and Michelle) made me so comfortable with the process from day one. I got my braces off yesterday and I am so happy with the results! You will not be disappointed if you choose this team for your orthodontic needs. They will work with you and make you feel at home. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. D and his whole staff. I was a long time patient with a difficult case, my teeth were straight but I couldn’t bite my teeth together. I had braces as a child but had a growth spurt and a deformity in my jaw bones I believe. Dr. D was able to perfect my bite without surgery. I also had a lot of jaw pain and cracking and now it’s minimal which is a bonus. I am able to eat sandwiches for the first time properly in my 36 years! My teeth look so beautiful and amazing! You won’t be disappointed with Healdsburg Orthodontics.

I was treated with respect and understanding. As an adult over 50, I didn't really want braces. I was nervous and not very sweet about it all. These folks treated me with love and understanding, making a challenging event a little easier to deal with. I look forward to working with them over the next two years.
