Services
Dr. Wingo grew up in Hammond, LA where he attended Hammond High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. After graduating from college, he completed dental school in 1980 at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. After completing a two year post-graduate program at LSU School of Dentistry and Children's Hospital in New Orleans in 1982, he opened his practice in Hammond.
Our office, as well as the The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by one year of age. Children who have a dental home are more likely to receive appropriate preventive and routine oral health care.
The office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience and when time is available. Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are fresher and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort. School children with a lot of work to be done should be seen in the morning for the same reason.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) all recommend establishing a "Dental Home" for your child by their first birthday. The Dental Home is intended to provide a place for dental care other than the Emergency Room.
For more information concerning pediatric dentistry, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.

My experience was quick and not great. I saw a review stating that a lady’s 18 months old had an emergency and was seen immediate…as a new patient. How the staff was nice and helpful. I called to schedule my 5 years old son an emergency appointment and was told I would have to wait until October. I love Bippo’s Place of Smiles and was only changing due to convenience but only to one that was equally great. This isn’t it for me.

Kindest people EVER! We just moved here and had a slight dental emergency with our 18 month old. They saw us immediately, and the dentist even helped me fill out the New Patient Paperwork because my baby was so squirmy. Seriously, what doctor takes that much time and personal care! The entire staff was super friendly and kind! I highly recommend them.
