The waitress was so sweet! The entire staff was friendly and fun! Bathrooms were spotless. The patio was clean and the views were beautiful! Loved that they have a full bar menu. The guys got beers and the gals enjoyed the the wine. We were so impressed and just really enjoyed our afternoon there! The food was good as well

Portabella fries were horrible despite being recommended by the server…all breading, no mushroom with lots of deep fried extra breading that was floating in the fryer included in the basket. Had not been here in a couple years and definitely won’t be back for the food. Wine was decent…atnosphere bumped the rating up one star.

This could be an awesome place & it is advertised as being phenomenal. It is a beautiful historical building, with a spacious patio area for great entertaining, & very nice landscaping & “ambiance”. We were several hours from home & excited to have a winery nearby, close to the beaten path. We were so disappointed to find this was not exactly a winery but just a restaurant which serves wine. According to the greet staff, they do not produce any of their own wines & the few grape vines around were strictly for ambiance, as we were informed by our waitress. The food was ok but nothing fancy.

Rarely do I give a one star review for a place but this was well earned today. My wife and I have come to Cantebury Hill numerous times and have loved it everytime. The food and wine are great, sometimes the service lacks, but it wasn't horrible....That all changed today. We arrived here after driving an hour out of the way to stop by on our way home from the middle of Kansas. Since we had been there before and we're unaware they had made changes about their pet policy, we had brought our dachshund with us. My wife waited outside while I went to grab us a seat. The young man that met me at the

Waited over 2hrs to place our order and get our food. Everyone's order was incorrect upon finally arriving.Waiter took over 30min to return every time then was rude when it was addressed. Sent manager out and she justified his behavior with an excuse and was just as rude as her staff. This was our first time here and to be treated so rudely by staff and management was unprofessional on every level. We get and understand Being short staffed however you should never tell your customers that's the reason for their horrible experience. The customer should never know that is the reason or even recognize

There were 14 of us in our group. We had reservations and they were ready for us. We had to eat inside as it was very warm outside and there is no shade outside. The atmosphere is good and the food was great and was served in very large portions, most of us took doggie bags home. The service was outstanding by a very energetic, outgoing waiter whose name was Raphael. All in all our dining experience was superb as usual.

We had the spinach artichoke dip, ribeye dinner, and New Orleans pasta. Not a single disappointment! And the wine slushies are amazing too!

So far this is definitely the best place to get a steak and great environment to eat around the Jeff City lake area for sure absolutely stunning view my waiter was great. It's fairly priced. I spent more money on the tip I would say than I did the meal and the drink.

Although we love the patio for covid safe dining our server tonight was wearing a face shield rather than mask. The shield did not completely cover her mouth. We felt we had to dawn our masks repeatedly to remain safe. This may be the last time we dine here which is disappointing as we have treasured this as a place we could feel safe. Other servers were wearing masks.

A BIG thank you to Emma & Jennifer for helping me out over the phone today to get some wine delivered. They were so polite, patient with me as I figured out my order and even offered to include a note in with the package (it was a gift).

Excellent service! I can't speak to the wine obviously but I'll be sure to stop in and try some next time I'm in town.

Excellent meal on the bluff top. Weather was near 90° but on the covered patio there was a steady breeze which kept things comfortable. Don't sleep on the Portobello fries. Fish tacos and blackened catfish for entrees. Had the King Tower sampler and will be taking a bottle home. Planning to be back ASAP

Yesterday, my family and I went to Canterbury for an early lunch following our son's college graduation. We were a table of eight seated second to a growing table of at least ten that we celebrating an early Mother's Day. There was one waitress, one bartender, and some lady floating around doing odd jobs, possibly the manager because of the way she was dressed. It was evident from early on that the service was going to be slow as there was too few people to work tables.
Furthermore, it was a very rainy and chilly day. We were freezing outside and inside the restaurant wasn't much

Enjoyed dinner here with my husband. Great outdoor eating. We tasted the Queens Tower sampler of wines. Good if you like sweet wines. My husband ordered the filet mignon which he enjoyed. I had the New Orleans Chicken Pasta. I highly recommend this dish. Spicy but flavorful.

We would have rated them higher but they need to train their wait staff better. Personable but inexperienced. And their dish presentation could have been better. My pasta should have come with a large spoon and maybe a breadstick for sauce. The steak was just placed on a plate.

Overall good food and great atmosphere. Just

This was a great find right before you go into Jefferson City. I stopped here with a few friends to try some bottles of wine and get some appetizers.

My favorite appetizer was the Portobello Mushroom Fries. I have never had these before, and my life is changed. People that are afraid of mushrooms may like this one. They have great flavor and the crunch that most people associate with french fries.

We also tried the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Fried Calamari, and the Meat and Cheese Tray. All of these were good, but the mushroom fries were the whole table's favorite.

The winery is beautiful

We've been a few times over the years and usually had good food and service. This time, we were seated right away but then waited at least 15 minutes for someone to take at least our drink order. We watched several waiters and waitresses pass by, and one even pointed another to our table and handed him a card they use to ID tables. But he just stuck it in his pocket and never came over, either. So eventually we just got up and left. We won't be back.

I've been there 3 times kept thinking it was such a nice place, I just needed to pick the right thing from the menu. Evidently that not the problem. Overpriced and not so good food, mediocre service. The wine is good but not the food.

Dropped in for lunch while I was visiting someone nearby. The place was not at all busy--this is, after all, off season for a winery-based restaurant--but it still took a very long time to be seated, to order, and to be served. I had the soup of the day, which was chicken and dumpling soup. It was gummy and salty. Then I had a field greens salad. The waitress urged me to get it with chicken, which I fell for, and ended up not liking the chicken, which was clearly pre-cooked and just sliced to put on my salad. Aside from that, the salad was pretty good. My friend had a seafood salad croissant, which

Although the name has changed since I was last here the view & service has not.

If you are looking for a great place to gather with friends for a little vino with a view Canterbury Hill is the place.

The new owners have expanded and it looks just amazing! Perfect spot for the Solar Eclipse and such a party atmosphere! Big thank you to our server Michael(?) for perfect suggestions.

Although we did not try the menu the wine flights were perfect in order to decide which wines to take with us. Excited to come back again and give the menu a try.

What a beautiful day to sit outside, have a glass of wine and enjoy the view. We have been here've for but they have really remodeled. Looks great.
Good thing view is great and we are chilling because the service is horrible. I ordered a salad. My husband ordered chicken tortilla soup and a bacon cheeseburger. The soup had no chicken or tortilla and was cold, as was the burger. I never got my salad. Unbelievable! On our way out we asked to speak to the manager. Waited around ten minutes for this man, all we got was, how can we make this right? Really! You cannot make this one experience

Wineries are our "thing" and we really enjoy eating at Canterbury Hill, when we are in the area. It is a lovely location, both inside and out. Ambiance is important to me, so I really appreciate the "feel" of the place. Our bartender was point on, when choosing a wine for us, though the real treat, was the pineapple infused vodka on the rocks - very refreshing.

Being a gluten-free foodie, it is occasionally hard to find foods I can eat. As usual, they were able to accommodate my allergies with a salad. It was good, but not great - thus the 4 stars. I do wish they would

My husband and I came here for lunch on my birthday a couple of weeks ago. I was really looking forward to a nice, relaxing lunch, but what we got was nothing special at all.

We started at the bar and had a tasting of a few wines. Our bartender wasn't a wealth of knowledge regarding the wines, but was very friendly and willing. After tasting a few, we decided on the Norton and moved to a table outside. This turned out to be a mistake as it was 90+ degrees that day. We ordered the pork belly nachos as our app, which were pretty good. Not the best, not the worst. We then moved to a

We were here last night for my high school reunion and spent the evening on the patio. The weather was perfect and they had a great band playing. Our event was casual - you could order food and drinks if you were interested; however, there was nothing provided or included. The bartender mentioned it was one of the busiest nights so far this year and I'm sure that's why we generally had to track down a server when we wanted one. The staff was friendly, just extremely stretched! I'm thinking the reputation of the band and the weather brought in tons of business and with the addition

Very disspointing service. We went there on dueling piano night and had to pay a cover. Limited menu which was OK at best. The worst part was the end of the evening. The entertainment went till 10:00, but at 9:00 the wait staff started cleaning up and basically encouraged people to leave. We stuck it out till 9:30, but by that time they had removed everything from our table including the wine glasses so we couldn't even drink from our bottle of wine on the table. It's a beautiful location, but the service and management have a lot of work to do.

There are too many awesome wineries
