Mid-Atlantic Custom Builders is a family owned business that has been in operation since 2000. Brian Grace, the owner, has been remodeling and building homes in the Tidewater area for over 20 years. His wife, Robin Grace, is actively involved in the business and is also the owner of Mid-Atlantic Realty and Associates.

Mid-Atlantic is also a member of the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority's Builders Guild and has built many houses throughout the city of Norfolk.

Mid-Atlantic Custom Builders has been building and re-modeling fine coastal homes, cottages, and carriage houses since 2000 using the craftsmanship of yesteryear with a vision for tomorrow. We finally decided to finish the room over the garage in our 20-year old home addition. Brian Grace and Mid-Atlantic Custom Home Builders came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Brian stayed on schedule and budget while delivering us a well-appointed extra bedroom and bathroom in a challenging space with lots of angles. He and his talented team communicated with us often and added several unique touches to the project. Maybe most importantly, using his skilled vision, he incorporated a barn door into the project that was my wife’s one stipulation.

Brian finished out our carriage house apartment over the garage. He and his team did very good quality work, were responsive to requested changes, and did a great job on promptly fixing punch list items. Brian was fair and reasonable in the final negotiation to close out the job. Overall a very good experience.

Brian and his team completed an unfinished second floor of my house, to include 2 bedrooms and a shared full bathroom, and closing off a separate attic space. He did an excellent job, was easy to work with, kept communications open regarding challenges and modifications, was flexible with timing and payments, and was great to work with. Brian is trustworthy, reliable and honest about projects. I’m working with him again now on a much larger project because he does top quality work. Highly recommended!
