At age 17 Janet knew she had a passion in Art. It wasn't until she got her cosmetology license that she discovered that she loved makeup and the Art behind it. In 2013 she started working for Blush Makeup Artistry in Maryland and added airbrush makeup to her repertoire. This is where she fell in love with the bridal industry.
She loves to make clients look and feel their very best on their special day. Now living back in Dallas TX, and with 10 years of makeup & hair experience under her belt, she decided to create a makeup and hair team for all kinds of events. Designer Faces Makeup Artistry provides makeup and hair services for Plano, Allen, Dallas, Frisco, McKinney, and the surrounding cities. For makeup, we specialize in both traditional and airbrush makeup depending on your needs. We provide on-site accommodations for makeup and/or hair trials; as well as the day of the event ex.
Jaylynn started exploring the world of makeup on herself when she was 17. She then soon found out that she was truly passionate for makeup when she would do all her friends hair and makeup during her high school years. After graduation, she attended Aveda Institute and became a licensed cosmetologist; of course that's where her love for styling hair was born.
It's my personal belief that true beauty comes from the outward expression of humility and truly loving and accepting yourself. Makeup should be used as a tool to express and to feel good about yourself, not as a mask to hide what you are afraid of. We have the freedom of change and to be who we want to be so let me bring out the best feature out of you by using my skill with passion and love.
Compared to other bridal makeup and hair companies in the area, our prices are already relatively low. The sooner the better. In all honesty, we typically get booked 3 - 6 months in advance; sometimes even a year or more in advance. This is not to say that we will automatically not be available if you wait to the last minute; so feel free to contact us and see if we are still available.

Unfortunately I had a negative experience getting my bridal hair and makeup done with Janet. She was over an hour late on my wedding day.
She was apologetic but looking at my wedding photos I’m also disappointed in the makeup and hair that was rushed.
I feel like for the price I paid I should have looked more put together. I am only posting this to warn other brides because I know how important hair/makeup is on the wedding day.

What can I say.... JANET WAS AMAZING! I was looking to get my makeup done for my fun 30th birthday photo shoot. I came across Designer Faces Makeup Artistry, and she did not disappoint! I would like to say I do not wear a lot of makeup everyday... only wear eye makeup! I was a little nervous, but she reminded me that 50% of the makeup would show in the photos! So happy I went with Janet’s recommendation! She went with a smoky natural look, and I LOVED IT! Consider Janet for any of your makeup needs!!

My daughter had her makeup done by Janet for her high school senior pictures. Janet did a fantastic job and was very kind and pleasant to work with. The senior pictures turned out great since the makeup really brought out and accentuated her natural beauty. My daughter found Janet on Wedding Wire and we went to do a trial and were so impressed with Janet. She is so sweet and did exactly what my daughter wanted for her wedding day. Janet also came to the hotel and did a trial for the Mom of the Groom who does not have her makeup done EVER. She loved Janet and her team. With 9 bridesmaids and 2 moms it is not easy to make everyone happy but Janet and her assistant Cindy made everyone beautiful but most importantly the BRIDE who looked incredible.

I absolutely love and adore Janet with Designer Faces. I found Designer Faces on Wedding Wire so I had my doubts but I was blown away. I did an appointment to try things out before hiring, a trial run for my bridal portraits, and then the wedding and Janet went above and beyond expectations every step of the way. She was talented and diligent so I left the decisions up to her, but she was also so open to feedback and committed to making my wedding perfect that the whole wedding party(9 bridesmaids plus two moms) ended with the picture-perfect faces we had hoped for. I have very tricky skin. It’s not only a mixture of oily and dry but my skin (and hair) have always pulled out weird tones similar to a redhead, my makeup and hair tend to turn out more orange and brassy. I warned Janet before my trial makeup appointment. I’ve had few who could give me results I was thrilled with two including Janet to be precise. He listened carefully. She didn’t take my preferences personally at all and truly cared about me and my sister along with her full bridal party being 100% satisfied. This was my first time having my makeup professionally done. Janet made my experience comfortable and affordable. Her makeup skills are outstanding. She’ll accordingly do your makeup to match your occasion and time frame. She’s friendly and it’s easy to let her know what you like and don’t like. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend :)
