Tracy D. Terrell earned his PhD at the age of 27. He was a linguistic professor at the University of California at San Diego. His interest was in acquiring second languages, and he developed a teaching method called the Natural Approach for teaching other languages. Dr. Terrell published college textbooks in Spanish, French, and German and a high school series in Spanish.
Rocking Horse Academy's youngest classroom is brimming with developmental opportunities for your baby, and our infant care staff are all specialists in the care of babies. The building is nice and well kept, cleanliness I would say was okay.
Teachers were great and kind
I’m very disappointed in the owner and director Which are mother and daughter. They chose to keep a child who was mentally different with the other children. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem but let me explain what this child would do…. This child would have random blackouts and start hurting any child/ children and teachers around them . They kept this child for years which put not just strain on the his victims parents, but of course the teachers who tried so hard to keep children safe

This review is long overdue. We have been with Rocking Horse Academy for over 6 years now and couldn't have found a better place to send our kids to. Throughout the years there has been a lot of change around us, however Mrs. Rebecca and Miss Marissa have always been the same. They have such a great staff and are always willing to go the extra mile when it comes to making you feel at ease. Of course there are always challenges with growing kids and new teachers, but I've always been able to voice my concerns with the Administration and feel like action is always taken with the children's best interest

We heard such great things about Rocking Horse Academy. When we first inquired about care for our daughter there was a waiting list, so we went to a different center. So glad that we switched when a space became available, the difference in service and care was very noticeable. My daughter has learned so much, made friends, and adores all of her teachers. We never feel like an inconvenience when we have questions. Everything is so easy with the Tadpoles app! We love RHA and the staff!

Walked into my child's classroom to pick up last week and noticed how hot the room was. Children were red in the face and sweating. It was not their outside time so I know it was not from the coming inside. When I asked the teachers why it was so hot in the room and if the AC was broken they replied back to me saying no the AC was not broken, that they were told not to turn the AC lower than 76 degrees. 76 degrees!?! That is way to hot for those poor kids in the classrooms in this Texas heat! This week it will be in the 100's and they can't turn the AC down to a comfortable temperature, that is

What really sets RHA apart from other pre-schools is Rebecca. She has fielded so many of my calls and gone out of her way to make special allowances such as letting my daughter go on a different schedule or on a single full week. In each case Rebecca has received me with a smile and her assurance that if she is able to make it work, she is happy to do it. I cannot say it enough, Thank you.

We just recently put our 3 year old daughter in Rocking Horse, after moving to Plum Creek. We have heard nothing but great things about this place, and it was close, so we scheduled a visit. Our little girl LOVES this place as well as the teachers and students. They are a great group of people who love to teach and to be involved with their kids. They are not just baby sitters, they are also great teachers to our young kid. Their mission is to prepare our kids for their next steps in life. Thank you so much for all you do for our little girl.

Mary Martha in the infant room is amazing. We felt very lucky to have her and others in the infant room watching our son, who had colic among other health issues.
Also the adjoining room was also excellent. Michelle was particularly good with our kiddo.
We were not in the next room for very long so I can't comment on that room as much. We moved to children's discovery center, which has been excellent for our now 3.5 ur old.

My daughter started at Rocking Horse a few months ago, at 2 and a half years old. This is our first experience with a day care/preschool, and we were all a bit nervous. The director and staff went a long way to putting us at ease, and now my daughter loves it here! She's learning things and we never could have taught her at home, The teachers put a lot of thought and care into their themed lessons. The facility is up to date and well maintained, with a large, SHADED play area, Compared to other schools in the area, I feel we are getting a good deal for the very reasonable prices. I was impressed
