LHS welcomes students from a variety of religious backgrounds. We celebrate our diversity and use it as an opportunity to enhance our educational experience. As recognized service organization in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), Lutheran High believes, teaches and confesses the unchanging truth of the scriptures, as described in the Lutheran Confessions and the belief and practice of the LCMS.

Services
In New Orleans you have many choices when picking a high school. At Lutheran High School of Greater New Orleans, you'll get more than the typical high school experience. Christ is at the center of all we do. As a Gryphon you will build a solid foundation for your future. You'll learn from dedicated faculty committed to your spiritual, social, and academic development.
Service learning will take place in two ways - individual projects for graduation in addition to school-wide service days. Service hour's updates will be given to students each semester. The students, faculty, and staff of Lutheran High School will spend a school day during the year serving in the community.
God has done awesome things and we cannot help but share it, teach it, and celebrate all the gifts He has given us. Christ is at the center of all we do at LHS. We are excited to work with students as they grow in thier faith and join in worship. The following are some of the ways we support the spiritual growth of our students.
At Lutheran High School, we offer junior varsity and varsity boys' basketball. Varsity and junior varsity basketball begins with conditioning and weight training in the fall. The official beginning of practice is determined by LHSAA regulations. Team members are expected to attend all practices/games.
