AHNew Physical Therapy enhances your outcomes to return you to your optimal function by providing patient-focused, one on one Physical Therapy. AHNew Physical therapy wants you to live a long healthy life by creating (returning you to your optimal quality of life) a lifestyle that is best suited for you.
Services
AHNew Physical Therapy provides a comprehensive vestibular examination to include your eye-head coordination, balance, walking and specialized testing to determine an individualized plan of care to improve your vertigo, dizziness, balance and gait secondary to vertigo, stroke, brain injury, cancer, and aging.
American Heart Month, a time when you can focus on their cardiovascular and pulmonary health. The weather has been beautiful. Start today by scheduling a walk, joining one of our classes, or finding an enjoyable activity that gets you moving. Managing your own health and wellness takes a few basic steps and most importantly now is building your immune system.
Falling can be dangerous. A fall may result in broken bones, hospital visits, loss of the ability to take care of yourself and sometimes even death. Seek an expert physical therapist to design a well-rounded activity and exercise program to improve strength and balance. Remove items from the floor of your house that may cause you to trip like rugs, toys, and foot stools.
Replenish fluids frequently as the temperatures rise and as your activity increases. Daily activity and exercise rounds out your nutrition program ~ keep moving and every step counts ~ activity is cumulative throughout your day. A balance of energy intake (calories) and energy output (physical activity and exercise) is the desired outcome for health and wellness.

I had actually scheduled an appointment with a pain management doctor to try steroid injections for lower back pain as well as making an appointment with Ann the physical therapist. I went to Ann for three weeks twice a week. I did the exercises she taught me at home and will continue to do them. By the second week of therapy I decided not to follow through with the steroid appointment because my pain was under control. She gave me different options to try to find out what worked for me.

Dr. Newstead is a priceless resource! She stands out for her caring nature - the compassion she has for people is apparent and she lives and breathes to help those who have been overlooked by large healthcare systems. Incredibly intelligent and experienced, I would recommend Dr. Newstead to anyone!

Ann really knows her stuff. She is the best physical therapist I’ve ever had, and this after going to two large physical therapy mills in the past.

Ann is well rounded in her knowledge base, but what makes her especially effective as a therapist is her ability to LISTEN to her clients, to weigh what they have to say so that her treatment programs are specific to each client, not a cookie cutter approach.
