Amblyopia is decreased vision in one eye caused by abnormal visual development early in life. It is often referred to as "lazy eye". It is the leading cause of vision loss in children. Up to 3 in every 100 children can have it. Early detection is imperative. Vision develops from birth to approximately age 9.
Nasolacrimal duct obstruction, also known as "tear duct obstruction", can be congenital or acquired. Approximately 5% of infants are born with a tear duct blockage which can resolve in 85% of infants by the age of 6-8 months. The most common cause of nasolacrimal duct obstruction in children is the failure of a membrane within the tear duct to open causing tears to "backup".

Everyone was so nice. This was our second visit my son needed to have his glasses adjusted and we saw the dr. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome and the dr did a great job explaining my sons eyes to me. I would recommend Pandya-Lipman to anyone with children they made my son feel comfortable and made the whole eye exam experience wonderful.

I had my daughter checked out for a sty in her eye and they tell me they think it’s something else and they need her records from her eye surgery and I sign papers for the release. I never hear from them again and every time I call and ask what I’m suppose to do they have no clue and can’t find no records nor care to try and help. They literally don’t care. I told them I was gonna have to find another doctor and they said ok. I don’t know why my pediatrician referred them because I wouldn’t to anyone!

We have searched a really long time for an eye specialist for our special needs son. We have been to many with no answers or solutions. Dr. Pandya was absolutely amazing! I have never met a doctor quite like her. To say she was amazing with our son would be a huge understatement. We left feeling great, with answers and a solution. I would recommend this office and doctor to anyone. We drove an hour to get to her and I’d drive 18 hours to get to her! Thank you so much to each staff member!
