The town of Hershey was founded in 1903 by Milton S. Hershey, the "Chocolate King." A few years earlier, he sold his caramel candy business for $1 million dollars to the American Caramel Company. In a shrewd business decision that was to change his life forever, he kept the rights to make chocolate.

If you stay there, you are crazy. Not only are the rooms unclean and filthy, there are ants and rats EVERYWHERE. The county should be called to have these things fixed or shut down. STAY AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

So we reserved a room here two days before called and they said they had us in for the next day... so we got it figured out, went to Hersheypark and arrived at the motel at 10:30pm. And it was Awful. Honestly I don’t know how they are still open. It was dingy and dusty. The beds are hard as rocks! I’m not even going to say how much it was because I’m sick about it. DO NOT STAY HERE! It’s a waste of money and completely unlivable!

This is an old run down motel, not worth the money. I can't say it was dirty, just run down and dingy. It's along the road so you can't be a lite sleeper be and you can hear TV from other rooms. The shower was fine. The bed had a very firm hard mattress if you like that. For a one night stand it's tolerable at best.

This is the worst motel I have ever been to. My family and I went to go and stay here because we were going to see a concert and the lady at the desk said that they are all booked and one of the rooms had "a problem". We walked into the room it was like 100 degrees in there and there was water all over the floor. We booked our room 3 days before we left...so she should have told us before "hey you aren't going to have a place to sleep tonight" before we were already at the hotel. The lady at the desk never apologized once to us and lied repeatedly. So to keep it simple we didn't have a place to

Well, it could have been worse. It was a quiet and clean place to spend the night. It's a family owned place, they were already home when we arrived at 8pm and came back to check us in. The hotel has not been updated since it was built in the 1970s - still uses metal keys, walls still have wood paneling, the fluorescent lights in the bathroom were the old-school kind. Beds were comfortable enough, though we had booked a king and ended up accepting two queens because that's what they had available. The hot water ran out in the shower after just a few minutes, but the water pressure was very strong

The room was clean enough, had a TV inside. A small refrigerator and a microwave. AC was noisy and didn't have a remote. Access to the motel is quite easy. Easy check-in and check-out as well.

Room was clean and comfortable enough, but really lacked in as number of places:
* bathroom window curtain is a towel, sewn in place
* door cannot both latch and be deadbolted (we chose the deadbolt)
* no convenient outlet to the bed for phone charging
* A/C has two modes: plugged in (on full arctic blast) and unplugged (off); this method was explained to us by the owner

Small motel, only has 13 rooms total. Appears to be family run. Service was good. Room was relatively clean, but had that classic motel room smell upon entering. Beds were on the firm side, but not too bad. Room has flat screen TV with cable set-up. Price was $69 + tax per night. Only needed the room for the night to sleep. Only real opportunity was that the A/C unit did struggle to cool the room, as the temperature was around 95 degrees outside. But overall, not too bad considering the price.
