To help you decide, let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, specialized in pediatric dentistry at Boston University, and have been practicing pediatric dentistry in the Hartford area since 2008. I'm on the board of the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists, and I am a dental consultant for Head Start, a state-run early childhood development program.
I am also a volunteer instructor for the dental assisting and hygiene schools at Lincoln College.

Services
Dr. Jay's approach to dentistry is pretty simple. He treats each of his patients as if they were one of his own two children. That often means taking the time to walk them through their appointments and explaining each step along the way. He finds spending these extra few moments with his patients really helps make them feel comfortable, and it clearly shows because our patients love to come back to visit us!
Kids require special dental care. They grow quickly, change so fast, and benefit from dentists trained in the art of treating kids. Dr. Jay offers all general dentistry services for kids of all ages. As a father himself, he understands that kids need a solid foundation to have a lifelong healthy smile.
Technology can make treatment easier and more accurate for our patients. Any time we can improve the care we provide by investing in technology for our patients, we feel it is important to do so. Here are some of the technological features you'll find at The Little Tooth Company. Intraoral cameras are small cameras we can place inside the mouth to take digital images or videos of specific teeth.
As a dental office, we are in the business of saving teeth, not removing them! Unfortunately, life sometimes has other plans and removing a damaged or troubled tooth is actually the best decision for your child's health. Some of the most common reasons for dental extractions include trauma, infection, deep decay, over crowding, fracture, or the teeth are ready to come out naturally and just need a little help.
Healthy teeth are essential to maintaining a healthy diet at all ages, and it is hard enough to get your children to eat their vegetables without the additional challenge of a painful tooth! Children are conscious of their appearance, too. Maintaining a healthy and beautiful smile can give them the added confidence they need to throw their hands in the air during class to deliver a correct answer.

We brought our kids here for a while. There must have been a recent change of staff and the service now is absolutely horrible. No sense of urgency in their part. They canceled our appointment after kids were removed from school. They should re structure their employees because reality is there is really good competition out there. And for us who have been their patient for years to leave this practice that just means the service is no longer acceptable.

I cannot believe how great they were with my daughter. We had switched to this dentist because we had heard such amazing reviews and no one disappointed us! The hygienist was so calm and got my child to be relaxed. Dr. Jay came in and had such a great presence as well. My daughter is four and excited to return in six months!

This place hands done is the most enjoyable pediatric dentist and medical facility period that I am so pleased I came across. The experience from the parking lot to the token given for a prize is truly as a parent a joy for me. The staff are very friendly and they treat your child as if they truly do matter! I highly recommend this dentist

Excellent Doctor and hygienists. We had an emergency which my 4 yr old hit a corner of a table and knocked out 2 teeth with the roots. I called the office at the end of the day and they responded quickly, had me take pics of his teeth, gums and email it in. They arranged to see him immediately!! They took X-rays and took care of him!! Entire staff is friendly

I'm not a fan of this establishment. I explained to them when I first brought my son in that I was the primary contact. Well they texted my wife instead of me and we missed the appointment. She assumed it was some kind of junk text. When I called to change the appointment I was put on hold to see if the dentist would "give me one more chance" really? Then came the fun part. We couldn't get another appointment for two months. I called today to see if we could push Monday's appointment back just two days even a week would be fine. Guess what, it would be 2 more months.

Office staff are cheerful and pleasant without being too fake, 'cutesy' or condescending towards the kids. Just genuinely kind-hearted, calm and trustworthy. The Dr is wise, kind, and very personable as well. They never seem rushed, they explain everything and they do not push for unnecessary treatments. Appointments are always on time, and in my experience they don't ever run behind schedule --which I really appreciate. My 4 children actually look forward to their cleanings every time!

The aspect I like most about The Little Tooth Company is that the dentist actually listens to the parent and takes their ideas about dental care into consideration. The facility is spotless. My child likes visiting the dentist due to the child friendly environment. The hygienist was patient and friendly. Dr. Jay also aimed to put my child at ease. Always on time too - a rarity these days. My child has not had any cavities, so no experience with that aspect, but with my couple years experience at this practice so far, I would have confidence in quality of Dr. Jay's work.

We were so impressed with the quality of care that our young daughter received! Dr. Jay was very kind, calm, and listened patiently to our "parental fears". We had sought out this office as a second opinion after being told that our daughter needed silver caps on her very visible molars...no caps needed...just a few fillings! My husband and I were very impressed with the professionalism in the office....as well as a clean, modern establishment. Excited to get our 2 other daughters established with Dr. Jay!!

After my dental insurance had changed and my daughter's dentist was no longer in network, I was SO nervous to switch. The idea of taking a 3 year old to the dentist frightens me and after she had loved her previous dentist, I wondered if I should have just bit the bullet and paid the 50% because they were out of network. I researched and found The Little Tooth Company in Southington. I figured if became really nervous or acared, then the cost at her previous provider was worth it to me.
Scheduling an exam was a breeze and I took her on a Tuesday morning at 9. The waiting room is exceptionally
