The front desk service is abysmal. Hung up twice on my husband trying to get my prescription. Not very accommodating to the disabled. As I cannot physically walk in to pick up my prescription. Yet they refuse to let my husband pick it up for me. I’m so incredibly distraught.
Edit- You’re response is filled with anger for a business claiming to be helpful. The staff other than the front desk are always wonderful.
And you absolutely fail to address the main point- They kept hanging up after he asked a question. He shouldn’t have had to call twice just to ask questions if they were helpful

Absolutely the worst experience. Staff is rude. They hate children and make it known. Several people warned me against using their offices because they’ve been known to be extremely unprofessional and delusional regarding the coronavirus and they spew hate about immigrants and people who speak other languages. I hope they close shop soon so no one has to deal with any of this.

My husband has been going to Dr. Birmingham for years and recommended him to me every year, but I always settled for the 'cheaper' box stores. I finally listened, made an appointment, and am so very glad I did. Everyone was absolutely professional, competent, and friendly. And I feel - at last - my eyesight is in good hands. I could not be happier with my experience.

I’ve been a customer for 2 years, never had an issue until recently. I thought my appointment was for 8:45am, sat in my car until that time near their front window, only for the lady behind the counter to be extremely rude and tell me I missed my appt. I told her I thought it was at 8:45, she was so sarcastic and ugly I thought it was a joke. The… Dr. overheard and said I could still be seen. The Dr. apologies to me, I pay for contacts for both me and my daughter and leave. I get a call 5 minutes later about a $95 bill for my daughter, explained I would pay. They call me almost everyday

I have been going to Birmingham Optical since I was in elementary school. I am now 21. I travel all the way from Chalmette just to be seen under his care. I have had one bad experience with another local doctor and now I refuse to be seen by anyone but, Dr. Birmingham. Dr. Birmingham is a very humble and down to earth man. He takes his time (which I love) and I never feel rushed. He answers any questions I may have. Dr. B will never make you feel like "another" patient, but more of as a family member. Our conversations always end up off topic of my vision, and on life. He gives the best fatherly

I recently had the pleasure to visit Birmingham Optical to get a new pair of glasses and I'm very glad I did. My doctor had originally recommended Birmingham but I had first gone to the mall because it was convenient to my Ophthalmologist's office but I wasted my time there since none of the optical shops at the mall were willing to work with me since my glasses were to be paid for by my insurance company (after cataract surgery). So, finally taking her advice, I went to Birmingham. They had no problem working with my insurance company and went out of their way to find the perfect frame for me
