This office has the best customer service!!! I am traveling and forgot to pack my contacts. I had my eye doctor fax over a copy of my prescription and the Eye on Canal has me a set waiting for pick up. The girl at the front desk answers the phone and responds to email in a timely manner and is very friendly. So thankful for excellent customer service on such a short notice!!

Eyes on Canal went above and beyond to help us out in a pinch when our freshman daughter ran out of her daily contacts just as final exam week was starting. Bobbi worked with us and our local optometrist's office to get her set up with a week's worth of contacts to tide her over until she comes home. This involved multiple calls and quite a bit of her time today, and she was gracious and extremely helpful the whole time. Our daughter will definitely be using Eyes on Canal for all of her eye care needs while she's in Nola! And we are very grateful to them for helping her out today

I was really Dr Monique first client. At that time the staff was small. Now my last experience not happy at all. OK I purchased a MK frame for my glasses cost me over 200 dollars. So my screw came out of my glasses and I brought them back to be repaired with the screw. They were not able to repair them, so they got another pair of the shelf and inserted my lenses. I promise its probably haven’t even a good month. So Monday when I got home I notice that one of the lenses was gone. Brought them back today and I have to pay 80 dollars for the lenses and I glasses want be ready until 2 weeks.I don’t

EDIT: Dr. Jackson saw my review while she was on leave and personally called me and resolved the issue less than 24 hours after my post. Changing my rating from 1 star to 4 stars, and I'll definitely give Eyes on Canal another shot (once Dr. Jackson is back, of course) after such great service.
Boy, did I pick the absolute worst eye doctor to go to after my longtime eye doctor passed recently. Save yourself a lot of trouble and pick a different place. It's almost guaranteed to be better than Eyes on Canal.

This little eye shop is small, personal, very friendly and professional. I had the pleasure of getting examined by Dr DiLeo who is filling in for Dr Jackson (who I haven’t seen yet) who is on maternity leave. If u need an eye exam while dr Jackson is gone-don’t hesitate!!! He is the best. Takes his time and gets it right! Got a wonderful updated script and I can see again! Trust these reviews. Spot on!

This place is terrible all the way around. My glasses are incorrect AGAIN. She has a policy that she will remedy the solution with a one time remake of your lenses if they are not correct. So think about this...she is already admitting that she is going to make a mistake. I know for certain that all of my past doctors would had made it right no matter what. Well, my second pair of $600 lenses are incorrect again. I went for my second exam. After the exam, she stated and I'm quoting, "oh I did make a mistake." I have bifocals that did me no good. So she

I went in for an eye exam and to get new glasses on June 10. I was told it would take two weeks to get my glasses in, ok. I called two weeks later, on the 24th, was told my glasses were "in finishing" & should be back Mon or Tues. I called again on July 1; I was told I would be called back with an update. Nothing. Today, I went to pick up my glasses (after calling a 4th time and leaving a VM) & they just handed them to me. NO time to see if they fit across the nose, NO time to see if they fit across the ears, NO time to see if they were helping me see. Is this the way they treat

I’m not big on making reviews, but I felt like my recent experience warrants a review to let everyone know of the wonderful this place is. The whole staff goes above and beyond from start to finish, from scheduling your appointment to picking up glasses and contacts. Ashley is absolutely wonderful! I’ve called twice with questions that she needed to get back to me about, and she either called or texted me with the answer to my questions. They are very accommodating and ensure you’re completely satisfied before you walk out the door.

One of the best eye exam and eye glasses-shopping experiences my daughter and I ever had. No long waits, they were personable and kind and patient with my 12 year old and I HIGHLY recommend them for folks with emotionally sensitive and easily triggered kids (adhd/spectrum/etc.). The staff (literally the entire staff) was so nice and professional. They made me feel very comfortable. My 16 year old daughter and I were discussing how nice everyone is and she said they are always nice every time I come here. My daughter is very nonchalant. After our discussion, I felt the need to write this review.
Also, it's very clean and the staff sanitize all glasses before placing them up for display.
I am throughly satisfied with the entire experience at Eyes on Canal!

All of the staff at Eyes on Canal were excellent! Dr. Jackson was very attentive in ensuring that I was enjoying the best eye health and diligent in following up on any concerns. Gwen, the technician, was a joy to deal with and always had a smile on her face. Finally, Ashley, at the front desk, was incredibly helpful in finding my benefits for my insurance, and followed up with me days later even to make sure I had the necessary information. Incredible staff and an incredible office!

Taylor was very nice and thorough. Dr. Jackson was very personable and thorough. She made sure I was comfortable with my script. Paige checked me out, she was very nice and explained everything in detail. I would recommend them to any and everyone.

I am so glad I came here. Every staff member was enjoyable to be around. The appointments were running on time. The eye exam was thorough. Dr. Jackson was very kind and made sure to explain everything in a way I could understand. After my appointment I got to try on glasses, they have a decent collection to look through and when I found a pair I liked they sat with me and explained how my insurance would work and what it would cover. Best place in town. Do yourself a favor and come here!

Monique saw my daughter and she was WONDERFUL with her. I can't say enough good things. She was patient, kind and took the time to explain everything to me. I'm looking forward to visiting her for myself, and will definitely be bringing my daughter back. Just be aware of speed cameras getting to/from her office - especially if your appointment is during the time when school zone speed limits are in effect.

All seriousness they worked with my schedule and my sons nap time to make sure we were taken care of and the level of engagement and personality was really fun. I'm pumped I can walk here from home if I don't feel like driving.
They also have a great selection of frames, I'm a ray ban sorta dude so that was simple but man oh man they have a lot of frames of all different types.

I first went to Eyes on Canal due to a weird eye infection. They have been incredibly awesome! I had no prior history with them and needed to be seen right away. They squeezed me in same day, no problem. It has been two weeks and about 5 appointments later and all is clearing up. My care has been nothing less than excellent! Dr Jackson and her team (I'm looking at you, Taylor!), are so professional and more than awesome! I would recommend them wholeheartedly! Oh Zaza and their selection of glasses is super impressive!
