Hi, I'm Frank Konsella, and I'm the Crested Butte real estate agent above the rest. Real estate is a lot like climbing a mountain- you start with the research, then you take it one step at a time until you reach the summit. Reaching summits is what I do- both in real estate and in my spare time, as one of the few people to have skied all of Colorado's mountains over 14,000 feet.
Without experience, few people would attempt to climb a mountain without a guide. The same can be said of real estate- as your real estate agent I consider myself your guide through the process, helping you make smart and informed decisions throughout the transaction on the way to your goals.

Services
I moved to Crested Butte right after I finished my last final at the University of Colorado in Boulder. I didn't even stick around for graduation- I was ready to get to Crested Butte. I already loved to bike, and hike, and ski, and I knew Crested Butte was home for me. Other things that I now know I love about Crested Butte took some time.
Crested Butte neighborhoods are diverse and distinct, and when you begin your home search, you will want to know which areas are right for you. The neighborhoods in this area vary widely in terms of lot sizes, amenities, building styles, and even weather, which can change drastically in a matter of miles.
Almont, Colorado is located ten miles north of Gunnison and eighteen miles south of Crested Butte, where the East river meets the Taylor river to become the Gunnison river. If you've ever wondered why the nearby 3 Rivers Resort got its name, now you know. As you might guess, Almont is a river town, with rafting and fishing operations headquartered here.
The Alpine Meadows community is located in the Slate River drainage, a few miles away from both Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte (see map). Most of the subdivision is on Nicholson Lake Ridge Road, a quiet cul-de-sac. This is an older subdivision, with modest homes from the 1970's as well as newer, larger homes.
The Buckhorn Ranch subdivision near Crested Butte is located in the beautiful Brush Creek drainage a few miles away from the town of Crested Butte. Other neighborhoods in this area include Larkspur and Skyland. Wide-open vistas are the rule here, with Whetstone Mountain dominating the skyline along with the backside of Crested Butte and Paradise Divide.

Frank is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. He makes all aspects of the home search, buying a property, and closing on it easy and seamless. Frank has great input on all the local communities, properties, and locations throughout the valley and will put the time into researching one's questions further.
Frank is honest, interested in learning more and helping his clients out, has great attention to detail, and engages all of his clients and other agents. He was always one step ahead of me in providing feedback and finding connections throughout his network.

My husband and I moved to Gunnison from St. Louis. Since we weren't local, we knew we needed to find a realtor that we could rely on. After talking to a few that showed varied levels of either indifference or incompetence, we met Frank. From day 1 we were impressed! He is incredibly knowledgable on the area. He never tried to push any of his own preferences on us and consistently made recommendations that were in line with what we were looking for. He also didn't hesitate to give us a heads up on how pricing of a property compared to the rest of the area (on the high side and low side). He even

Frank's tireless persistence, deep local knowledge, and strategic guidance led us through an extremely competitive market. Keys to our success were Frank's creative problem solving and committed responsiveness, following through on every detail and keeping us focused on the next right step. He repeatedly went above and beyond and never gave up on helping us achieve our CB dream. Add to that his humble character and quick wit... we're forever grateful and we'll never work with anyone else. Kim & Paul Ribich

Frank is passionate about the area and has been wonderful in helping us find land in the Crested Butte valley to build a forever home on.
As remote clients, Frank scoped out lots for us to view ahead of visiting town and then again for a return visit to make a decision.
His knowledge of the area and contacts was incredibly helpful in our final choice. It wasn’t just about sale values and locations but included things like water access, contractor and architect contacts, HOAs, legal support.
It allowed us to have a contractor come with us to see the lot prior to contract.

I was referred to Frank by multiple people in the Gunnison Valley, and as soon as I met him I understood why. Frank is an honest, straightforward, practical person. He guided me through selling my house while (concurrently) buying a new house - all in a wildly competitive market. He followed up on every detail, and was available via email, text, or phone if I had any questions (and I definitely had questions!)!
I hope to work with Frank again in the not-to-distant future, and highly recommend him to anyone looking at real estate in the greater gunny valley.

Frank did an excellent job right from the beginning. Frank helped us through the purchase of a house, and the selling of our condo. He showed us houses that were in our price range and had everything that we wanted. We ended up buying a house in the area and were really happy with Franks communication and timeliness during the entire process. The housing market is intense here and Frank acted fast, and helped us whenever we had questions.
Even after the purchase of the house Frank continued to answer questions and be a very helpful resource for us.
Thanks Frank!
