I have found my creative journey begins as a form of day dreaming. Being inspired by the snow as it falls and creates a fresh white blanket on the world outside my window. Being inspired by reading books(some are lovely gifts from friends) that have strong visual images of nature. Being inspired by piles of Maine beach stones that I have collected over the years as well as the sand patterns on the beach as I reach for just the right stone.
The way the water ripples when I paddle my kayak and the reflective colors of the Montsweag Bay on which I live. Natural markings on trees and leaves that impart an impression of texture in my memory inspire me to replicate these in my own expressive technique.

Services
I create all of my work from my home studio on the coast of Maine on beautiful Montsweag bay. I live in a stunning location that we fish, grown garlic & vegetables as well as have a dog friendly yard. I am available by appointment when I am not attending shows. I have always felt that if you lead with your heart the journey will be amazing. It was a Grandmother's (or Hunny as the Grandboys call me) way to give back and help fund research for congenital heart defects or CHD as they call it. My Grandson Finn Lockwood was born with a CHD called Ebstein's Anomaly, as well as a few other heart related concerns and spent 10 very intense days of his newborn life in the NICU in Boston Children's Hospital.

I continually purchase Circle Stone Designs because Anita's work really suits my lifestyle, unfussy, elemental and with a strong respect for nature, the stones and especially Anita's textural way with silver, everything is from scratch is impressive and absolutely beautiful. Fact is, I can't get enough because her work keeps expanding!

I am lucky enough to own a number of pieces from Anita at Circle Stone Designs and I wear them all the time. I have both pre-made and commissioned pieces and I love them equally. It all started with a river stone necklace gifted to me by my parents. Now, multiple bracelets, rings, and necklaces later, I have a regular supply of hand-forged daily-wear beauties that help get me through work and life and everything they throw my way. I smile when I put them on in the morning and when I see my Zoom reflection at work. I feel adorned by goodness when I wear Anita's work. Highly recommend!!!!

I have several pieces of Anita's work, going back many years, and love every one. It looks as good as the day I bought it, even after 15 years of hard wear!
