Vintage Home Decor
The Russ Family brings over 100 years of experience in the Art & Antiques industry. The majority of our inventory is directly curated from local New England estates. Our shop offers a diverse collection of home furnishings & accessories, antiques, and art.

Our history goes back to Paul Russ's great grandfather Albert Perkins, operating as a country auctioneer conducting estate auctions out of the Jordan Village section of Waterford from 1905 though the 1970's.Paul's mother, Diana Russ, continued conducting estate auctions, and using her grandfather's auction barn as an antique shop.
Services
In 2014, Paul Russ and his daughter Amanda Russ Boehm open Vintage Home Decor on the Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook CT, offering a wide array of estate appraisal and consignment services. Most all of our inventory is hand curated from local estates. The world of art, antiques, and collectibles may seem intimidating, even overwhelming.

We stopped in today and was pleasantly surprised. They have a great selection of antiques and the prices were very reasonable.

Two gentlemen were working when we arrived and both were very friendly and helpful.

We recommend you stop in if you're looking for some good quality pre-owned furniture or household items. The shop is packed with nice things and very clean.

Horrible! Rude owners! Not even a greeting. All drawers packed with stuff. The last comment was exactly my experience down to her complaining about their online shop to the owner. My first time and last. Never judge a book by its cover! They thought oh shes in leggings and a sweatshirt, I'm sitting out in your parking lot in my new Mercedes. Very disappointing

Although the shop has interesting pieces the customer service is terrible. It seems as is you need to be an important customer to receive any attention. The owner or who I perceive to be the owner walks around on his cell phone and completely ignores you. He was more interested in making his dining reservations. If this had only happened once I would not be writing this. I recommend that before shopping there be sure you are on the “important enough to pay attention to customer list”. By the way, this treatment also occurs if you made a recent purchase.

I love vintage home, there is always something new and fun every time I come in. The staff is always very friendly. Make sure to take your time and dig through the basement (it's like a treasure hunt)

Actually I would give a 0 if I could. My son closed on his new home on Friday and needed furniture for every room. Four bedrooms and one needing young person set. Walked in and guy looked up and said nothing. My son said do you have young person furniture. Never looking up of at us he said go to warehouse in the back. Not I'll help you or I'll be with you in a few minutes or anything. Or at least send someone to help. Finally after up and down steps and almost needing a map to find the " warehouse " we found it. A nice lady then showed some options. But by that time my son

I would had given this shop 0 rating if it was a possibility.
this has been the worst online shopping experience in my life.
I bought a vintage cocktail shaker for my German friend who loves to make us drinks as a birthday present on Oct 19th 2017.
After a week of waiting, the UPS tracking still showed printed but the item hasn't been picked up.
on Wednesday I called them and they told me that I need to speak to the store owner Amanda and she will call me back, SHE NEVER DID

On Thursday I call back multiple times and finally could speak to Amanda once and she assured me that she will

I've been a customer of this shop since it opened and have always had excellent service from the family and their employees. Amanda, the owner, is polite, helpful, and professional. Pricing is generally at or below market, and their consignment policies are extremely reasonable and straightforward. Paul's (Amanda's father) knowledge of antiques and fine art is extensive. More importantly, when he doesn't know something, he lets you know. Furthermore, the store is enormous (8000 sqare feet). They generally have a pair of very friendly dogs present to boot. If I could give them a 10/5, I would.

We were having lunch across the street this past Saturday and I noticed this place immediately. We made a beeline for it after downing chili dogs and onion rings. The place is chockfull of beautiful furniture and all kinds of home décor finds. The prices seemed very fair and make sure you go downstairs because there is MORE. I didn't find anything or need anything on this trip but will be needing some things in the furniture and I will be going back here.
