Nathan Liverant and Son has been actively dealing in eighteenth and early nineteenth century American furniture, decorative arts, paintings and textiles since 1920. We specialize in fine examples of Connecticut and New England furniture made prior to 1840. Acquisitions from our large inventory of fine quality antiques are represented in private collections and major museums across the country.
Owner, Arthur Liverant, is a third generation antiques dealer. He is the son of Zeke Liverant and grandson of Nathan, who founded the business more than 95 years ago. Since 1949, Nathan Liverant and Son has been located in a former Baptist meeting house on South Main Street in Colchester, Connecticut.

Services
Nathan Liverant and Son is proud to be celebrating 100 years in the business of handling fine Americana. Our business has bought and sold thousands of objects over three generations. We have had the privilege of handling objects fashioned by some of the finest craftsmen of the 18th and 19th century.
We missed the opportunity to share our 100th Anniversary in 2020, so this year we are celebrating 101 Years of Nathan Liverant and Son. The festivities will be held outdoors under a large tent on our front lawn, and will include good food and drink available all day. Masks are required inside the shop.
