Depending on your age, you might be slightly sore or itchy at the sight of the procedure for between 3 and 7 days. When you leave my office your make up will be too dark, the right shape and color - just too much of it! You are perfectly capable of driving home, working out, working whatever. After a day or two, the tattoo will be slightly itchy as it is healing.
