Interesting that staff working here are now starting to post positive reviews in order to counteract the legitimate (and often negative) ones that patients post....Mine from a year ago "mysteriously" disappeared....

As long as they think they can get away with it, they will waste NO opportunity to commit abuse against patients. Recording fraudulent information on records, lying about the fact they have ZERO counseling services for inpatients, no probable cause required for as many strip searches as they want, threatening forcible shots for the "crime" of having a panic attack, refusing to investigate complaints to the "patient advocate", refusing to take responsibility for personal belongings that went missing from their storage, a HIPAA violation.

The atmosphere and culture at Sonora is one of compassion, understanding and safety and is very patient focused. It is a pleasure to work here, from upper management to floor staff… everyone is dedicated to doing what’s best for the patients and has a good time doing it. This is a demanding and intense job yet the employees tackle every task with ease, grace and a smile and it shows in the results from the patients.

Called to check in on a family member and Dean answer the phone extremely rude saying they don’t have a program due to my area code when I hadn’t even told him what I needed!!!!! Not the place to call if you need help in a serious manner!!! I would give it 0 stars if I could!!!! Mental health helpers should be more able to listen instead of hanging the phone to people without letting them speak!!!!!

They left me in a locked room for an entire day with one meal and no water, and that was before I was admitted.
They had no therapists available, staff was uneducated and knew next to nothing about their patients. I had to organize the other patients to call the Patient Advocate down to address the theft, constant drugging, and horrible treatment experiences here.

I spent the absolute worst weeks of my life here at the very vulnerable age of 16. I’ve struggled with anxiety and depression since age 10, and my hospitalization here only added to my trauma and was extremely detrimental to my mental health. Did I survive my suicide attempt? Yes, but it was followed by staff blatantly bullying myself and my peers in the hospital and insisting that we take as many pills as possible. I became over medicated at this hospital and walked around in a zombie-like state for months after my discharge because of the abundance of medication prescribed to me. The staff

I spent 9 days there detoxing. The politeness of the staff was absolutely few and far between. I would have given 5 stars but Amber, Wich I believe was a nurse was absolutely rude and didn't seem to care about her job much less the patience. I have to give 5 stars to Kendra who is the tech in Pima. She absolutely dedicated her time to each patient that asked for her, showed that she cared about her job, and worked hard dealing with drama and making the hall a serine place to be. I also want to give a HUGE shout out to Ms Padilla. I could tell right away that she cared about every patient in there

The front staff is so rude! They think they are nurses and dont want to transfer to the right departments. I recommend speaking with the director or doing a report to the main corporation if they hassle you without need. They are very disrespectful to people. They try to treat family like if your a client or you are ignorant. Very disrespectful staff there. I took names of some people that were so disrespectful to me. I had them do a med error on my husbands meds during discharge. So next day I'm having to do their leg work wth!

I got a fungal infection on my face from the pillows and blankets there. Staff For BHT are unable to manage special needs or even needs since they’re on their phones most of the time. Case Managers and Nurses were the worst part. One specific nurse was instrumental in insulting me to my mother and convincing her that I was unsafe even though I had just been discharged. Veronica and one man were the only nurses who treated me with respect. The way they treated the people in the hospital with me was truly so disappointing. Go to Palo Verde, you’ll be treated better
