At Bamboo Wisdom Acupuncture, we provide the modern application of ancient healing wisdom. Both China and Japan's cultures have long regarded bamboo as a defining element because it provides the means to sustain all aspects of human life, including food and shelter. Bamboo is the most popular plant in China, where it is considered a gentleman with perfect virtues.
Acupuncture is a system of complementary medicine based on the stimulation of special points near the surface of the skin. Its purpose is to help restore health and wellbeing by adjusting and balancing the energy flow and functions of the body's system. Acupuncture is commonly used to alleviate pain and to treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
Community acupuncture is practiced in a group, rather than individual settings. Group acupuncture originates from the way acupuncture was historically practiced in Asia. The treatments of Community acupuncture are primarily on the front of the body and mainly on distal points (legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, etc.).
We provide specialized, non-insertion acupuncture treatment options for infants and children. It is called Japanese Shonishin Pediatric Acupuncture. Shonishin pediatric acupuncture is a highly specialized form of treatment therapy for infants and children that originated in Japan about 400 years ago.

I have been going to Kan for a few years now. When I first came to him I had severe low back pain and really couldn’t walk. Today I can walk somewhat and the pain is so much better. To me kan is a my savior. I have a life now. He’s the best and is so gentle. I highly recommend him.

I used to be afraid of needles & didn't understand how acupuncture works. But my migraines were killing me and I needed the pain to go away. Once I learned how fine a tip these tools had, I was able to relax and trust Kan that there was hope for relief. He's personable with a great bedside manner. It's like visiting a friend not seeing my doctor. He truly cares for his patients with a positive attitude and it shows.

I've been seeing Dr. Kan Chen for 8 years now. I mainly see him at Whole Person Health in Stoughton. Yesterday, June 26, I saw him for the first time at his office in Wellsley, MA.

I was in the area and I knew he could help with the very bad muscle strain in my back. The one think I know for sure, is that Kan will reduce my pain by 50 per cent the first time around. That has been my experience. Yesterday was no exception to the rule. Kan goes above and beyond to help his patients. He is very caring, compassionate, professional, and trustworthy.

I recommend Kan very highly for many ailments

I've been going to Kan for acupuncture for almost a year now. I truly believe that in part due to the treatments received I was able to become pregnant. I trust him impeccably. He is patient, answers all questions thoroughly and really wants you to relax and enjoy your experience. He spends way more time with his clients than scheduled and makes sure you leave feeling well. I've also emailed him a few times in between appointments with questions and he responds very quickly with insight.

He also offers 5 session packages at a discounted rate in both community and private rooms. Give

Kan, owner of Bamboo Wisdom, is an amazing acupuncturist. We originally found his location through a Groupon, but have been coming to him regularly even afterward.

He provides his clients with a high level of attention, and ensures that all receive a personalized experience. For our first visit, he spent way longer with us than he had to.

We wouldn't go anywhere else. Kan is truly the best around.
