Blue Lotus Healing Arts is a thoughtfully created, beautiful healing center - right in downtown Needham. The new center includes a spacious 900 square foot sun-filled yoga studio, a serene meditation space featuring workshops, and peaceful massage and acupuncture treatment rooms. Blue Lotus Healing Arts is a multi-disciplinary wellness center whose foundations lie in the Taoist nature tradition that underlies classical Five Element Acupuncture.
The ancient tradition of acupuncture recognizes that a vital life force or energy flows through all living things. This energy is called Qi, and it runs in channels throughout the body, nourishing cells and tissues. Acupuncture balances the flow of qi, draining qi from areas where it is stagnant or constrained and bringing more qi to areas that are deficient or empty.
Massage therapy treats many types of muscle pain, aches, stiffness and tension. Consistent therapy sessions can help reduce the level of pain and discomfort as well as increase the range of motion in joints by increasing the flow of oxygen and blood in the body. However, it is not only physical symptoms but also mental and emotional issues that can also be lessened by massage.
A: We offer acupuncture, massage, health coaching, shamanic healing and classes & workshops in yoga, meditation and tai chi. A: We are located at 945 Great Plain Ave in Needham, MA on Route 135. We are also close to I-95 as well as easily accessible by the MBTA commuter rail and 59 Bus. A: Yes, we ask everyone to please remove their shoes and place them in the coatroom to your right after entering.
Yoga combines the various physical, mental, and spiritual practices originating in India with the goal of attaining peace of mind and the discovery of one's true self. Yoga is a Sanskrit word frequently defined as "union with the divine" and suggesting the union of body, mind, and spirit. One level of yoga is the practice of physical poses that ultimately create balance in the body.

Love Kirsten and Kathleen! This is beyond description the best practice and place to go for all your acupuncture, massage and yoga needs. Both Kirsten and Kathleen are so very skilled, knowledgeable and caring humans. They have worked so hard to create this harmonious and peaceful center. They have helped me on my path to better health and positive life for years. Highly recommend! Xo

Have taken several yoga classes here and the teachers are kind and competent. Especially loved the cold lavender oil healing touch during shavasana. The owners were welcoming and helped me figure out the steps to redeeming my Groupon. It would be great if they added more classes. Either way, I’ll be back!

I LOVE Blue Lotus! I have been getting acupuncture from Kirsten for a few years now . It's a different kind than I've had before. In the past I've spent a few minutes telling the practitioner what hurts and then we go straight to the needles. Nothing wrong with that . However it's so much more than that at Blue Lotus. We always talk for awhile - not just about the physical but about the emotional as well. When Kirsten then inserts the needles (which do not hurt by the way) it feels like such a personalized treatment. She also explains which areas she is addressing so you have

Beautiful yoga studio and wellness center with plenty of natural light and space. The owners are thoughtful and are clearly very devoted to the business and community. They have built a strong staff of yoga teachers who are all very committed to their students and have a lot of knowledge and kindness to share. They also offer massage, acupuncture, and tai chi! The two weeks unlimited for $25 is a great way to explore different classes and teachers. I highly recommend checking this studio out!

Beautiful physical space but I would avoid this place if you want to develop a good yoga practice. I have been doing yoga for 10 years and followed a very experienced instructor who moved here about 1 year ago. From the beginning it was clear that the owners are more focused on acupuncture and do not view yoga as their primary business. The experienced instructor ended up leaving in frustration. It is clear the owners prefer to hire inexperienced yoga instructors who are willing to deal with the ridiculously difficult to navigate class ordering system and usuriously short time limits on the multi

This is a mixed review because the physical location is very nice. It is large, with wood floors and one wall of windows that allows in natural light. However, the owners are not professional. Their online payment system is exceedingly difficult and not user friendly at all. Also, I heard they are very delinquent in paying the instructors, who are at their mercy. I have been doing yoga since 2003 and regard myself as advanced intermediate or experienced. I went to only an experienced instructor who is no longer there. I heard from other attendees that the other instructors are young and much less

Truly amazing yoga studio and healing center. Everyone that works here is so lovely and kind. Have taken multiple classes from different teachers and am continuously impressed. Teachers are always present, sensitive to the needs of clients, and vary sequences in classes.
I really, really recommend this studio. Have been practicing yoga for 8 years in different studios. This is the best.

I highly recommend Blue Lotus! The studio is huge, and clean with lots of light. Their prices are reasonable, and they have a great first timer deal. I go on Thursday mornings with Anna, who is great. Her instructions are clear, she makes adjustments as needed, asks if you want to work on anything in particular that day, or if you have any injuries she should be aware of. I also recommend Alison on Tuesdays. Her class doesn't fit in my schedule, but I liked her as well.

Thursday flow with Anna had clear cues and great music. She has a very kind demeanor and gave adjustments ( I love adjustments!).
Sunday night spa yoga with Krystin is one of the best restorative yoga classes I have ever taken- and I have taken a lot!
The yoga room is very clean, bright and spacious. Props and water provided.

I travel from California regularly to the Boston area, and always find a way to schedule in a yoga class at Blue Lotus Healing Arts. The yoga studio is spacious and beautiful, and I've enjoyed each and every instructor I've encountered! It's been great to find this 'go to' place to keep up with my practice when away from home - wish I could bring 'em west!

Beautiful, clean and serene yoga studio! Newly renovated space with a sun filled yoga room. The owners couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. I had a really good massage with Sue and a very healing acupressure session with Kirsten. Hoping Emily Phillips will be teaching another 6 week session this winter!
