As we strive to teach the children in our care the importance of being sensitive to the needs of others and working together in the pursuit of common goals, we find that outreach to the larger community is vital to our center and our children. We celebrate our differences as we embrace our commonality.
Services
The Elizabeth Mascia Child Care Center is divided into eight classrooms. Our Tarrytown building contains three Toddler classrooms, three Preschool classrooms, and two classrooms dedicated to after-school programs for children from Kindergarten through fifth grade.

Staff members are assigned to each classroom in accordance with required staff member-to-child ratios, as established by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).Each classroom is staffed with a teacher and enough assistant teachers to ensure that required ratios are maintained.
We thank you for choosing us to provide child care and early childhood education services to your family. We value the trust that you have placed in us and will work hard to continue to earn it every day your child is with us. We will do everything in our power to provide you with peace of mind each of those days.
Elizabeth Libby Scarborough Mascia dedicated herself to securing educational opportunities for all children and was committed to sharing with others her firm commitment that everyone is a person of value. Libby had a passion for giving back to her community and was an active supporter of numerous organizations, charities, and philanthropic endeavors in Westchester County.
The Elizabeth Mascia Child Care Center offers a broad range of services for families with children with programs for all ages. New York State Office of Children & Family Services requirements regarding the required ratio of staff members to children and the maximum allowed sizes of groups are followed for all programs.
This program is offered to school age children attending the public schools of Irvington and Tarrytown as well as a few area private schools. Child care and breakfast are provided to participating children until they are picked up to go to school by transportation provided by the school districts, as arranged by the parents.

My daughter attended preschool here, all the care providers were so loving and caring. She is now 8 and still talks about how wonderful pre-K was. The added bonus for Elizabeth Mascia is that all food (breakfast, lunch and snacks) is included and it's one less thing to worry about for a parent.
