Creative Beginnings Children's Center
Creative Beginnings Children's Center is an independent, privately owned, early childhood center located in Central Westchester County, New York. For more than 25 years, we have offered a year round, full day program, serving the educational and child care needs of working families with children ages 18 mos.

The center, which is New York State licensed, strives to give the safest and highest quality care for each child in our program. Our educationally enriched program is a place where every child learns at their own pace using their individual styles of learning and growth. Our theme based curriculum is enjoyable for all the children.
Services
One of the goals of our early childhood program is to lay a strong foundation for all later learning so that each child will succeed in school and life. At Creative Beginnings, we feel that all children should learn at their own pace through a hands-on, active engagement with their environment.

Early years are the formative years for learning and educators understand that young children need to touch, move, experiment, create, ask, pretend, interact, and observe in order to develop critical thinking skills and knowledge of their world. Our wide and varied choice of play activities encourages exploration and challenges each child to succeed and grow at his/her own pace.
Nutrition- Our center provides lunch and morning and afternoon snack for all children. Our meals, which we prepare and cook in our kitchen, have been approved by a nutritionist and N.Y.S. We serve wholesome foods, which includes fresh fruits and vegetables. At mealtime, we strive to create a healthy atmosphere, where children can eat as much as they want to meet their high energy needs and satisfy their appetites.
For many of the children entering our child care center, the toddler room is their first experience with any formalized group of children. At Creative Beginnings, we want this first experience to be a very enjoyable one for each child. It's an important age and an important classroom. Development of good language skills is extremely important at this young age.
At Creative Beginnings we believe that young children learn by hands on active engagement with their environment due mostly to their natural desire to play and discover. Children are innately curious and learn by touching, observing, experimenting, crating, pretending and reacting with others.

Each day we follow a predictable schedule, including periods of active indoor and outdoor play, "group meeting time", art projects, story time, class games and quiet rest time, lunch and snacks.A rich learning environment of various activities and materials is in every classroom. The focus of activities is based on the children's interests and activities emerging from the children in that particular class.
Our daily classroom activities are integrated into the various areas of learning throughout the day in each class. Art: various materials are readily available for each child to express themselves creatively in art with emphasis being on enjoyment and process as opposed to "cookie cutter" products.

Critical: Professionalism
Manager only wants your money. Feel bad for the staff seems as if they are underpaid/overworked. Send your kid somewhere the focus is care not money. Wouldn't expect an amazing experience when people aren't compensated well. Same reason the customer service is better at a nice restaurant versus Mcdonalds.

Terrible experience, my child was treated as if she had some disabilities and special needs and was pretty much kicked out after three days.
My daughter went through feeding/speech therapy before joining daycare and I let Bernadette Stevenson the assistant director aware of that during the initial consultation and tour. She said that they understand and that is not uncommon for toddlers to have speech delays. Other than speech delay my child does not have any special needs or disabilities.
First day at the daycare: upon arrival, my daughter saw the play area and got all excited. She pretty much
