Very recently I had the good fortune to have won a rather fragile item at one of Luther Auctions that needed to be shipped. I called the next business day to pay for my item and then asked if I could have a couple of especially fragile parts removed on the item so they could be packed separately before sending the item to the UPS Store for the actual packing and shipping. I was transferred to "Dan" who was absolutely wonderful. Dan was friendly, patient, incredibly helpful and very accommodating to my needs. As a first time buyer at Luther Auctions I am very impressed with their friendly

I've never auctioned anything in my life, and a friend recommended that I try Luther Auctions to sell a piece of jewellery. Tracy was very helpful on the phone. He took the time to discuss the whole process when I dropped the item off, and I felt very comfortable with the whole experience. Very happy with auctioning my item, and I'm sure you will be, too.

Honest professional auction house. Very entertaining and quick moving! I have made some great purchases and some that I should have opted out of but that is the way it works. They do a great job of representing the items and pointing out "as seen" damages. Once in a while you get a crazy bargain like Calloway clubs or a Sage Fly rod for $40 but I seem to always find a person who likes something $25 more than me...........
It only took my "box of rocks" purchase for $20 that contained Native American artifacts, that keeps me coming back!!!

We look forward to these Monday evening auctions every week! They have a lot of interesting items that come through and are very real about what realistic values are and the marketability of items - fair expectations in a very busy business. There are always a couple of gems in each sale that we bid on and some go for great deals and some hit higher on the price point - it all depends on who shows up and what they're willing to pay. Tracy and his team are always friendly and keep things moving - very entertaining humor!

Tracy Luther is as honest and ethical as the day is long. If you're selling he will tell you the truth up front, rather than telling you what you may prefer to hear only to be disappointed down the line. His knowledge base amazes me; a true expert in his field. He's even been on national television several times as an antiques/collectibles expert. Luther Auctions is a fantastic place to shop as well! Every auction item is carefully researched and the merchandise is varied. Tons of treasures! I'd give Tracy Luther, Luther Auctions, and his staff TEN stars if I could!

I don't have any issues with Tracy, or his team. I especially like Kevin and they are primarily nice to me. However, this is not an auction that you are going to get a steal at. Expect to pay top dollar as most items sell for a ton - and then you throw fees and sales tax on top of it. Look at the realized prices of items from prior auctions, and you will see what I mean. It's not their fault. I do wish they had more middle of the road items for sale.

If you want a real auction experience, go to Luther Auctions. I have bought and sold there and have been happy with transactions on both ends. This is free enterprise in its finest form! I read a negative review - you can't blame the service. Things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Luther has a reputation for bringing in exceptional product and they are able to get a seller top buck. They are also not afraid to call a spade a spade. You have to check it out for yourself. If you don't like the way their auctions work, then you won't like auctions period.

I was on the phone with Tracy for about 1 minute, trying to ask questions, and it was the worst customer experience I've had in a long time. Initially he tells me "Don't hire an appraiser...why would you spend all of that money for an appraisal when you're not going to get it back from a sale" and "no one wants antique china or other antique glass items, I don't want it, you don't want it, your kids don't want it". I then say that there are other various items from the 1800's+ that may be valuable to someone. I know there is collectable value. He continues to proceed to talk over me as I'm attempting

"Just Because Someone Is On TV, Doesn't Make Them A Star"
The reason I write this review is to share my experiences with Luther Auctions In North Saint Paul.
If you want to have a terrible auction experience, try consigning with Tracy Luther Auctions, they are rude and act like snobs, and what ever you have is garbage. I don't care if it's the Holy Grail, It's garbage. They won't want to consign it "because it won't do well there", they would say. I guess they are doing so well that they can turn away business, "Or they don't want to
